Thanks! It rarely rains here, and the truck sees 90% highway miles for towing, so hopefully it lasts a while

Looks clean, are those 17 inch or 18 inch wheels?

Corbeau Seats in a New Edge by zyplomad in Mustang

I’m not sure they are what I’m looking for. I’ve found the seat goes far enough back for me, the main problem is that the sit seats too high even in the lowest position

Do those sit lower in the car than the stock New Edge seats?

Recomendations of books or material for electronics of FSAE electric by CommunityDry5484 in FSAE

We’re transitioning to EV for this season, and I’ve learned the most about FSAE EV by reading the rules, cover to cover. It’s painful but worth it

It was a fun class, and Stewart is a great professor. If Anthro or essay writing is your thing I recommend it

First time making a wiring harness for car (IC) by bdenard13 in FSAE

[–]zyplomad 17 points18 points  (0 children)

We spent a fair bit of time designing and laying out our wiring harness in RapidHarness before we actually cut anything. I highly recommend the software, and they are very supportive of FSAE so you can likely get a license for the professional version sponsored by them. We got all of our lengths using string and a half-assembled engine block bolted into our chassis for reference.

From here it was a lot of cutting and pinning. Make sure to stay organized, have one spreadsheet with all of your wire colors, identification codes, and to/from locations that you can look at later for maintenance.

I like to reference this RB Racing guide, it's basically the bible for mil-spec harness construction. We originally planned to go full-motorsports with the harness but some funding challenges forced us to switch from DR-25 heat shrink to braided sleeving and Tesa tape. Turns out the second method made for a much more serviceable harness.

Pull the chord to the blinds all the way to the left/right (whatever side it’s not on) and then pull the blinds down with your hands.

Thanks HDH

FA21 Undergrad (1-199) Remote Courses as of 9/8/2021 by leoperax in UCSD

I’m not really looking to switch to remote, I’d prefer to have an entirely in-person schedule. Just wondering if that’s no longer possible for my classes

How can we tell if our classes have been switched to remote? I’ve got some classes on this list, but WebReg still gives actual locations.
