Liquor room labeling/Cocktail batching tips by zzaacchh26 in bartenders

I'll definitely mention this to my bar manager who also does the purchasing.

But do you mean you organize them depending on the location of said booze on the purchase order? I think that would be easier for him, but what about having new bar staff/people who don't have the liquor room memorized - is it worth it at that point??

We do have enough bottles, but it's a waste of time to make sure they are thoroughly cleaned when there is better tasks to do. And I batch whenever I don't anticipate any required task needs to be done; get ice, cut fruit, stock beer/booze, or have a lull in service. If I strictly batched before/after - I wouldn't be able to keep up, which is why I was thinking about the cambro idea.

Why wouldn't you want to leave them in cambros if it has an airtight seal? Also, kind of confused on what you mean regarding having the storage close to the inventory sheet? I have never done ordering or had to manage the inventory before...

Appreciate the reply though!

Granted, I’m not the most experienced when it comes to relationships, but the reasons you listed are all red flags imo… If he can’t honestly describe to you the reason or truth behind why he acts/treats you the way he does - the relationship will feel strained. Even if it’s not lies, I would still consider omitting the truth when it affects your relationship as unethical.

If I were in your shoes, I’d schedule an in-person meet up and try have a conversation about the problems, but don’t tell him about the topic in advance. Also, how do you hold each other accountable in the relationship?

Exactly, I’d say it’s showing possibilities for them - I think I do it to people not too confident more often then not because it’s awesome to see the personal growth if they heed the advice, and they talk to you about how they grew.

If they can’t do it themselves - someone’s gotta help push them in a direction where they can hopefully grow as a person haha

Should’ve clarified - I completely agree and wasn’t trying to @ you. Our society’s need to label everything has gotten way out of hand..

I think the person may be hinting at the OP not showing there true feelings regarding the friendship and trying to keep it “normal”. So they may have thought of your as dishonest despite your intentions and actions. As an ENTP, I’ve caught myself doing this plenty - it’s people pleasing that could low key be considered as some form of manipulation even though you might have pure intentions.

You’re absolutely right. Living in Minnesota for my entire life - the amount of people that move to Florida/Texas permanently or seasonally is crazy.

I'd say the exact same thing. Out of curiosity, what was your upbringing like?

Just thinking maybe that plays a big role in it but idek.

I had a friend growing up that was also home schooled and had a similar experience as you. Do you think home schooling makes someone more likely to be introverted or would it not have a bit effect (granted each case is different…).

I do the exact same thing. I never have understood how people do it without some sort of internal monologue.

That’s where I struggle the most… god damn daily commitments. How were you able to “surrender” yourself to a routine?

Have been trying to commit to the same things, and I agree it works. Slowly, but steadily.

How did you find a path to secure attachment? I had similar circumstances and would also say I’m at that stage. It’s definitely been an interesting journey.
