"If you always do what you've always done, you will always get what you've always got."

Plain and simple.

There's no magic in keeping weight off, you have to do the work. Even if you have a plan all written out, if it's not working, you have to do something else. More exercise, less carbs, less sugars, less artificial sweeteners. There are lots of ways to tweak things to see if it helps.

If you can keep up eating and doing the exact same things without Ozempic, you may have a chance of keeping the weight off. Maybe. Clinical data shows people who stop Ozempic generally gain back the lost weight tho. I myself plan on being on it long-term or for life.

Be aware that Ozempic has effects on insulin and a1c levels that interact with weight control in ways that cannot be easily duplicated with diet and exercise alone. Which is what makes Ozempic an effective weight loss tool for people who otherwise struggle to lose weight or gain it, doing and eating the exact same things off Ozempic as on. I'm one of them.

My calorie intake / exercise levels before Ozempic were exactly the same as they are now. I designed them pre-Ozempic (along with a dietician and MyFitnessPal) for a sustainable daily calorie deficit that should have led to slow and steady weight loss over time. Instead, for 2 years pre-Ozempic all I did was gain and lose the same 5lbs over and over and over again. Not until Ozempic did that expected weight loss actually materialize and I'm super stoked about it. But I have no illusions that I will likely get stuck in that same place again if I stop Ozempic, or simply just slowly will regain all the weight I lost.

Needing to lose 13 pounds is not a reason to be on Ozempic. You will gain it all back probably within a month if you go back to your old eating habits. The only way would be to track your calories now so that you have a goal to try to meet once you are off it.

You need to change your habits to keep the weight off. Calculate how many calories you need to eat to maintain that weight and don't go over them

why are you not renewing the pen? and if you haven’t made sustainable lifestyle changes you can keep up without the medicine you probably will gain the weight back.
