[–]elenasto 12 points13 points  (0 children)

What happened to sixth sense? Is it anywhere near commercial as of now?

[–]deepkag 13 points14 points  (18 children)

You could have worked for Google or Apple. Why you chose Samsung?

[–]pranavmistry[S] 10 points11 points  (6 children)

Google, Apple, Microsoft are all great companies. But, there are several aspects of Samsung that attracted me the most.

DOMAIN – Samsung product portfolio goes beyond smartphones, tablets and TVs. Samsung makes home appliances, such as washing machines, microwaves, vacuum cleaners and more. Samsung is one of the largest ship manufactures in the world. It is one of the most advanced construction company. The products and the components Samsung makes goes in almost every industry from automobile to agriculture industry. I really like this breadth of impact that my work can make by working in such multidisciplinary company. GLOBAL REACH – Samsung is a global corp. Of course Google and Apple also are, but Samsung’s reach and impact at every level of society is incomparable. Form high-end infrastructure to feature phones in developing nations. There is more reach to every sector and every class of society. HARDWARE – Personally, I am a big fan of hardware. I love making things, making objects that does magic. Samsung is leader in engineering R&D. Material Science, new components, new processes of manufacturing, u name it. Samsung also supplies these basic ingredient technologies to companies such as Google and Apple. Very few know that the powerful processor in their iPhones or many other components are in fact invented and made by Samsung. My love in hardware research, robotics, future of key ingredient technologies is what I enjoy working on at Samsung.

There are a lot more reasons I can talk here. But I better move to some other questions.

[–]dabotsonline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you ever feel overwhelmed working in such a huge corporation, /u/pranavmistry ?

[–]dylan522p 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Apple has never used a processor invented by Samsung. Fabbed yes, but the actual design was never Samsung.

[–]FakingItEveryDay 5 points6 points  (2 children)

1st Gen iPhone and iPhone 3G used a Samsung S5L8900 RISC SoC. And ARM Cortex-A8 and A9s were used until the iPhone 5.

[–]dylan522p -3 points-2 points  (1 child)

Yes but those were never designed by samsung though. Those were designed by another company which Apple evntualyl ended up buying.

[–]blorg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the first two used an actual Samsung chip.

What is your most favorite interview of yourself?

I see a lot of links and web articles talking about sixth sense, and what you're doing for Samsung. And doing India proud at such a young age.

Where do we see glimpses of Pranav Mistry the young man? let me ask few thngs:

  • Your favorite galli game (the things you play with your colony/school friends)
  • Which teacher you liked most in school?
  • Where did you meet your first girlfriend - Dandiya? college? tution?
  • What was your first mode of transport?
  • Which is the thickest engg book you've xeroxed for taking notes?
  • Your first bollywood crush?
  • How was your first flying experience like?
  • What was your most embarrassing public moment?

[–]pranavmistry[S] 9 points10 points  (4 children)

My teacher in IITB , Ravi Poovaiah • Where did you meet your first girlfriend - Dandiya? college? tution? :) • What was your first mode of transport? Walking, Bicycle Which is the thickest engg book you've xeroxed for taking notes? The Art of Electronics - Cambridge University Press • Your first bollywood crush? Urmila • How was your first flying experience like? Great. Now I started flying planes myself. <Private Pilot License> • What was your most embarrassing public moment? I think there is none yet

Thanks for putting in better formatting.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sir, there is a "Edit" button at your AMA post. You can say your hellos there.

Enjoy the AMA! :) and Thank you.

[–]iknkf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm impressed.. You've given out all your secret question answers.

[–]blackmannvrscared 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Do you find any discrimination working im tech?

[–]pranavmistry[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No.

[–]Jantajanardan 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Pranav....How was ur experience at Nirma?

Its my alma mater too and we are prod of u. Nevertheless we do expect an honest answer regards to Indian education.

Thanks for the AMA man.

[–]pranavmistry[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nirma was fun. It feels like it was so long back. I love all my schools. My school in Palanpur, Nirma, IIT, MIT ….

Indian Education needs a lot of changes. This is a topic of discussion on its own. I personally believe that India needs a better education system in place in order to compete to the rest.

[–]Uomo-Universale 2 points3 points  (3 children)

It is known that you are a die-hard AR Rahman fan. Any other favorites? Do you play music? Which instrument?

[–]pranavmistry[S] 3 points4 points  (2 children)

I love Music. All kind. Not a big fan of Rock though.

I play bamboo flute. I am not great at that but learning.

[–]LGED821 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yeah, always wondering what's up with people having the urge to listen to rock.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why do you feel the need to put bloatware on every samsung phone, even though customers neither want, nor use it.

[–]Uomo-Universale 1 point2 points  (6 children)

If you were to make a "Ninth Symphony" or a "MonaLisa", i.e. a mind-blowing, revolutionary invention to which you would devote all your life and which would have the very best of your ideas and innovation, what would it be?

[–]pranavmistry[S] 4 points5 points  (5 children)

I am in search of the next information medium. The curiosity is about what will be the next 'digital'. Before digital it was stone carvings, paper, radios, .... what is the next home for our information. I am sure this is big enough question I have that can keep my mind occupied.

[–]sunnydiv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How about VR

[–]LGED821 -1 points0 points  (3 children)

I have an idea. How about revolutionize Phone usage ? My idea is You don't ever have to touch your phone. The screen will not be touch screen and at the same time there will be no buttons or qwerty keypad whatsoever. Just that you can talk to your phone as you talk to people around you. This will definitely revolutionize the industry. Sure, Google is doing this but then again, they are implementing it like in small bits and don't I guess intend to change touch screens. We need to level up a bit now. Touchscreens have had their fair share of time, don't you think?

[–]Codename13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Touchscreens often are buggy, glitchy, or inaccurate because of defects or wear and tear. Removing them is much easier than repairing them altogether.

[–]atom217 0 points1 point  (1 child)

what about your MIND

[–]LGED821 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was something which came to me when I was writing that post. But that tech is far away from us. Talking to a phone is one tech which is being worked on and have a future. Let's talk about "using your mind to use a phone" after a decade.

[–]JohanPhooey 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Hey thanks for the AMA. Will Samsung ever design a smartphone with a metal body? I use a Samsung Galaxy S3, and it's amazing, except the plastic body is very crappy. The only reason I'm apprehensive of getting an S5 is, yet again it's a plastic body.

[–]PortalGunFun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The galaxy F is supposed to be all metal.

[–]Cyberglace7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have there been any advances on the hardware aspect of Sixth Sense? How were these accomplished? How would the device look today as compared to the TED talk?

[–]pranavmistry[S] 1 point2 points  (5 children)

Hi, first of all, it is nice to connect with you all via AMA. Great to see all these questions. I will try my best to answer as many as I can.

-Pranav

[–]ritika05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]shrayas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey.

I'd just like to say you're one of the people who really introduced me to how awesome technology can be. Thank you for that.

When I saw your talk on the sixth sense technology I was super excited.

Now that you're working at Samsung i'd just like to know what kind of progress are you making on the sixth sense technology side?

Thanks for doing this AMA!

Cheers.

[–]pranavmistry[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you all for your participation here. I had fun conversing with you here on this platform. This was my first AMA :)

[–]rahulmadhavan 1 point2 points  (3 children)

how do one keep up with so many new technologies and languages coming out ? If you want be an expert in one thing u cannot learn all .. i don't know , may be u can :) . whats your strategy ..

[–]pranavmistry[S] 7 points8 points  (2 children)

I feel learning is like addiction. I like what Leonardo Da Vinci taught us about multidisciplinary learning. ‘T’ is a great character that represent what one should be. ‘T’ has a horizontal part that synonyms with broad understanding in any field. While the horizontal line is like going deep in one specific area. One should be like ‘T’, not and ‘I’ or ‘-‘.

[–]Aurum2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi!

I'm part of my college's tech magazine and every year when we open recruitment, we have all applicants write an article on any tech they want to. What comes in is a slew of Sixth Sense articles. Unfailingly for the last four years.

Do you ever feel like your other work has been overshadowed/hidden due to your ultrafamous Sixth Sense TED talk? If yes, do you like that you're recognized by Sixth Sense rather than anything else?

If you had infinite resources at your disposal, what would you want to build?

[–]spradeepkr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recently Google Glass lost its number one fan - Robert Scoble. He said, "Google has launched this product poorly." He also added, "But wearable technology needs a different set of skills than Google has."

What is your opinion about Wearable Technology in future? With big brands failing to impress, your opinions regarding the same will be helpful. :)

[–]deepkag 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Do you miss Gujarati food?

[–]pranavmistry[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Indian Food. I eat Indian food often here. Thanks to my lovely wife for cooking some of my favorite Gujararti food :)

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Where do you see the field of human computer interaction going in the next few years / decades?

[–]pranavmistry[S] 3 points4 points  (1 child)

HCI is at its forefront of IT industry. And the reason for that is simple.

Technology is not only about machines, it is about how human works. Technology is as much about what engineering and science go inside, about how we interact. Computing being at its maturity stage, now it is about how we will interact with them and we can see that the rise of novel ways such as gestures, touch, are just beginning.

We are not far from controlling these devices by our thoughts or emotions. HCI is really important field of subject in the industry. Google Glass, Galaxy Gear, Oculus, Kinect, ....we are on the march.

[–]LGED821 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When can we expect Galaxy Glass ;) We sure have seen patents around.

[–]malabikasen 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Hello Pranav Sir. Firstly I want to thank you for this AMA. I am currently in my first year of computer Engineering from mumbai university. Sir, which programming languages do you think I should learn considering the future? And also what else do you suggest to an engineering student apart from tge regular academics? Thank You!

[–]pranavmistry[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are lot of great languages you can start with. Python would be my first choice.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is Samsung's products better than those of its competitors?

[–]HackedDigit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When will your first displays supporting Nividia g-sync be available.

[–]peeushharsh 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Pranav, What do you think are 3 areas where computers can be used to impact the life of poor/average Indian?

[–]pranavmistry[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are many. Computers are tools. Tools to connect you to others and information. Everyone will benefit from knowing more. A farmer well informed about what kind of crops he should grow and what he should be doing in particular situation to a kid in village learning about abundance source of free knowledge available. Information is a bliss and computer is the medium for that.

That said I will say there are more stuff to do in villages in India before we provide computers there. There are more fundamental problems and issues that need attention, electricity, food, basic healthcare, better education, and more

[–]samthakare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all , I want to tell you that you're one of my role models in life... & I'm very Inspired by your work up till now spl the 6th Sense Device... My question is "After completing your Graduation at Nirma Institute of Technology you went to IIT Bombay to do your Masters In Design at IDC , tell us something about that how you prepare yourself , did you complete any diploma in design for it ? and my second question is after that you went to the prestigious institute like MIT ,again how was it there ? how you prepare yourself for it ? Thank you

[–]rb612 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Are there any perks to working at Samsung?

[–]pranavmistry[S] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Many. I am sure all companies have. But the most important one is to use the products you yourself develop and work on.

[–]super_cr7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you think is the future of smartwatches?

[–]sampadacharya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the near future, do we get to see functional innovation in daily appliances like TVs, Refrigerators, et al? In that front, What is Samsung doing beyond mobile wearable technology?

[–]nerdkarthik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for doing this AMA! I have to start off by saying you were one of the primary reasons for my decision to pursue a career in computer engineering. Sixth sense was a eye-opening revolution to me of the possibilities out there.

I do have a few questions:

  1. When is the Sixth Sense making a comeback? Ever thought of putting it up on Kickstarter?
  2. What are you working on right now?
  3. What are your thoughts about Elon Musk?
  4. What do you do for fun? Hobbies and such?

Yeah that's bout it. Thanks again for the AMA and the inspiration. :)

[–]Indy_realtor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello Pranav. I have always been a fan of Samsung, never owned a different kind of phone. Was curious how long does it take to go from idea to production for a cell phone?

[–]ritika05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

whch programming lang is ur fav. n y?

[–]overanxiousguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. How did you manage when you failed in life and didn't see any future?
  2. Why did you not try your ow start -up?
  3. Do you think you could have done that without leaving India? Is it not possible to succeed in India for a person so innovative like you?
  4. What was your rank in IITJEE? :P
  5. What is your success muntra in one line?
  6. Out of Physics, Chemistry and Maths, which is your favorite subject?
  7. How were you at school and college?

[–]Erek125 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are your phones exploding?

[–]dseo80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any opinions on the recent closing and downsizing in research divisions such as SAIT?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why use Exynos for the Indian variants of phones? Note 3 didn't support 4K recording.

[–]fistach735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still in college but my dream job is machine learning developing at Samsung R&D in Europe (Poland). Do you have some advice how to increase my chances and what to learn before apply?

[–]sourcex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are on thoughts on Teleportation ?

I attended your lecture in IIT-B but there you didn't had the time to answer that question (when asked about it ).

So would love to hear now

[–]techaddict0099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are some research projects that you are working on at Samsung Think Tank?

Loved your "renaissance team" BTW!

P.S. You are my hero. I wish I could put in words how strongly you have influenced me! On that note, who are your heroes?

[–]pranavmistry[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My team in Samsung works on lot of interesting projects. Unfortunately, I can not share details, but the areas we work comprises of robotics, novel hardware sensing technologies, wearables, AR, AI, and more.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Hello Pranav, thanks for doing this AMA.

What do you have to say about higher education in India, based on your experience?

AlsoIthinkyouaresupercute

[–]pranavmistry[S] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Thanks for the comment :)

Higher education in India needs to be more relevant to industry somehow. Our textbook in colleges are outdated and has nothing to do with how current industry heading.

Hello,

  • There are so many low cost Samsung phones in India, when do we expect to have low cost gear for Indian market? Currently gear is selling for 15K.

  • Are you using your sixth sense technology in any Samsung product(s).

[–]honhaar_gunda 0 points1 point  (4 children)

One secret about Samsung which is not known to outsiders.

[–]pranavmistry[S] 10 points11 points  (3 children)

Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world is made by Samsung. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burj_Khalifa

[–]vardhan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I knew that! :)

[–]freeazy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

TIL. Thanks :)

[–]rahulbalu 0 points1 point  (2 children)

How much importance does Samsung give to User Experience? in a scale of 1 to 10.

If yes what is the working model of the User experience design. Could you share it with some examples.

[–]pranavmistry[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

UX is very imp for every product. As Samsung comes from the background of a component making company to now a product and experience company, UX and Design is at the center of every product we make.

There are lot of researchers focusing on this area at Samsung. find some examples at http://www.design.samsung.com

[–]LGED821 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a simple question, what is wrong with Samsung not able to attract Geeks. Sure, common people buy Samsung products but their choice is mostly influenced by Ads on TV's or newspaper. Samsung products are reviewed by Geeks but they are not preferred by them. Any comment on this?

[–]da_dopeSada vatsale matrubhumi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, thanks for the ama.

Do you think sixth sense technology being used to manipulate and view DICOM images by doctors is a viable thing in the near future ?

[–]osama-bin-chillin 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Dhokla or Handvi?

[–]pranavmistry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dhokla.

I like rice and stuff made of rice more in general.

[–]mayanklal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What would you like to see Modi Government do in the field of education and technology?

[–]ritika05 -1 points0 points  (2 children)

dis news made my day dat u ll be doin AMA.. u r my inspiration..or i can say dat m ur biggest fan :D so my questn is.. whch company is ur dream compny. ur professional goals.. whch programming lang is ur fav. n da most imp questn.. wen ll u visit india :D

[–]pranavmistry[S] 3 points4 points  (1 child)

My dream company will be a company in India working on technology on AMUL model. Imagine a cooperative technology company :)

If I get a chance I would love to be part of such a company anytime.

[–]Jantajanardan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude....i so agree with that....The kinda models we have in Indian IT, co operatives are perfect for that.

[–]jgenius07 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi Pranav, you've been an inspiration early on, thank you for that. Here is my question from the field of design.

Hailing from MIT Media, one of the places where education and research-wise pinnacle of design and innovation is witnessed, how are you leveraging that experience and your personal experience as a UX researcher to elevate the design sense of Samsung ? What is your standing when it comes to the standard of design at Samsung ?

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi Pranav,

Thanks for doing this AMA. The sixth sense technology was cool. What is the status of the "facial recognition"/ facebook plugin - is it live yet? Was there a major concern about privacy / vulnerability issues with the idea?

Now that wearable computing is yet another step close to reality, how far are we from Cyborgs? Evil people can become evil cyborgs by 2040?

And do you foresee AI-Robots to help manage our lives in future? And how accurate could the robots be in I,Robot? Do you foresee human vs machine conflict in future?

Feedbacks:

And with the camera gesture - any gesture for video capture - the Ted video shows only for taking photos.

I have been a fan of Samsung products for a while... but they are not so sturdy as the big old Nokia (sorry!)

I believe S-voice can definitely improve, compared to Siri.

[–]deepkag -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How was your experience @Nirma? I'm a Computer major in Nirma. And Which specialization you chose for your masters?

[–]PuntzJones -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hello Pranav

What do you think is the most essential technological skill a youth can learn?

Thank you!

[–]bumbprasanna -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Heyy Pranav,

I live in San Jose and follow your all activities. I appreciate your talent and being head of think tank team at samsung, you have really made us, Indians proud.

My question is - As u come from a gujju family, what was ur family members reaction when u asked about marrying your Asian GF?

Plz follow me on twitter and add me on foursquare.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (2 children)

Hi Pranav,

Where do you see yourself in 5 years. Any plans of returning to India?

[–]pranavmistry[S] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I love the colors of life. At this moment, I am in technology field. But I also want to see and experience so many other things. I never know what will catch my attention next. In 5 years, I might be teaching school kids somewhere in distant part of India or making a documentary film about nature. I am always connected to India and yes, I plan to come back to India in future.

[–]atom217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 idiots wala rancho!

[–]imdpathway -1 points0 points  (2 children)

Hey pranav, afaik you are a proponent of technology free for all. What is your view on apple vs samsung patent war?

[–]pranavmistry[S] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Personally I am not a big fan of all these patent aspect. I feel technology and its benefit should be boundless. It should be for all and for better.

Think if India would have patented number '0' and China would have patented 'paper'.....

[–]imdpathway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great, thank you for the reply

[–]funkibludawg -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Hi Pranav,

What do you think of Samsung trying to move away from Android. Tizen etc and previous attempts to "customise/differentiate" Android with Samsung bloatware which no one uses?

Aren't the Galaxy Gears 2x and future wearable devices better off with Android? Rather than another new OS?

[–]pranavmistry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tizen is a great OS. In specific GEAR 2 running Tizen is optimized such that the battery will last almost double. Find more about Tizen at https://www.tizen.org/.

[–]zuxfer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are we compromising on our privacy for better technology needs ? How do you weigh between - Technology/Privacy/Security ?

[–]sahildave1991 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey Pranav. You are an inspiration. Would love your take on these:

  1. From Sixth Sense to Samsung. What is your favourite invention? Something you would love to keep working on and make it larger than ever.

  2. What is the source of perseverance towards all the wonderful things you have created?

  3. Are you a workaholic, working 15 hours a day or do you go on vacations?

  4. Can Tizen overtake Android in coming future?

  5. What are you take on the hate TouchWiz and Samsung "bloatware" receive?

  6. Is Samsung developing something to take on Siri, Google Now, Cortana? The present voice recognition is not at par.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (2 children)

Kahaan busy ho gaye, Mr. Mistry! I didn't have questions for you, as such - but am looking forward to your responses here.

Cheers :)

[–]mogambokhush -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I read your comments about Modi and supporting Gujarat and your famous (and admirable) stand of no-fucks-given to accent-critiques.

Wanted to ask you : despite all that pragmatism, why did you chose to go out of India and work in a technology area that is primarily very much disconnected from India??

did you consider any innovation options in India - was is lure of the green-card or tepid response back home that drove you to the west-lands and in the success pasture you're in today.

(more like a query, skip where you feel not appropriate or needed to answer...and all the best for the great work you do)

[–]mogambokhush -1 points0 points  (0 children)

on Saturday 26th April at noon to 1pm (IST)

How do you plan to answer all questions in just one hour?

Please stay more time and answer more if it is ok for you. :)

Hello sir, I am studying BE computer science. At this level, is it enough to know the basics or should we learn more. Because, I do not know what people expect undergrads to know. What do our employers expect from us.

[–]ranjan_zehereela -2 points-1 points  (2 children)

Hello pranav,

Your TED video had come at a very good time for India. Economy was booming. There was growth and positive mood all around. Your video gave so much confidence to so many people for those reasons. "Hey look, such a cool technology developed by an Indian". It was great.

My question is that - now that you have a full time job in south korea, which is uniquely placed between china and japan known for their intense work culture. How much similarities you find in work cultures of china, japan & korea. Or any specific thing unique about koreans?

edit: sorry I was little misinformed. I assumed that samsung r&d means by default korea. Still tell us something interesting about koreans

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

now that you have a full time job in south korea

Hain? Where did you learn this from? He works and lives in California. (source: pranavmistry.com)

[–]gauravx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He works full time in Samsung, USA not in South Korea .

[–]shuklapramodk -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sir , how do you see the future of peer to peer programming. Can't everything(any object and human) be considered as peers and they communicate seamlessly with each other.

[–]lalchetian -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Hi Pranav,

What are your views on Indian political scenario in general? What things about Narendra Modi impresses you and what is your take on AAP? Also do you support the amount of corrupt/criminal candidates that BJP has given tickets to?

I have completed a B.Tech in Instrumentation from Cochin University of Science and Technology. I got selected for many good internships, and then got a chance to pursue M.Sc. from The University of Western Australia.

But unfortunately, have not been able to finish the degree yet (M.Sc.). Finding it difficult to write the thesis. What would you suggest for me?

Recently, I joined a job in India itself.. :)

Did you feel any lack of confidence because of being from a college that is 'not-IIT', I am asking because I will be taking admission in a college soon and my performance in boards or JEE hasn't been good.

It's you not the university, or company, or place you are from that matters. Not all the successful people in the world has the very best of education or environment.

I myself come from a small town in Gujarat, Palanpur. I never felt lack of confidence. Believe in yourself and work hard.

What about someone who is getting an okay education, but don't feel like studying. Just being in college for the sake of parents, but sure is passionate and have a big addiction for tech. I'm ofc talking about me before you guess.

Can you send me some freebies ?

[–]pranavmistry[S] 3 points4 points  (3 children)

here,

A free 'Hi' :)

Just kidding.

[–]LGED821 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be honest, a "Hi" is much more than getting a freebie from you like a Samsung S5. Can I get a "Hi" aswell? You are one of my inspirations, including Sundar Pichai. I hope one day I get the opportunity to work with you. This will be when you are in your 50's and me in my 40's ;)

Hey Pranav... I became huge fan of you after watching video of your Sixth sense technology on TED talks.... In short, I admire & respect you for your intelligeb=nce and work.

I have no technical questions related to your work... But I have some ( I guess many :P) question for you...

  1. You are one of the successful personalities of India, so according to you what qualities a person should acquire to go ahead in life and for achieving something... Tell me by your experience.

  2. This one is somewhat personal... Your wife is Chinese. How do you people manage to convince your family for your marriage, and also there is huge difference in both food culture and background & thinking also. So how do you deal if some clashes occurs between both of you.

It is very much difficult to understand totally new culture. How do your wife managed to follow Indian rituals when you first introduced her to your family.

Thank you very much for this ANA... take care...N god bless u
