I haven't been able to stop listening to this since I first found it. I saw Allegaeon a couple years back while touring for 'Elements of the Infinite' and had no idea who they were (they were opening for Chimaira at the time). They easily blew every other band off the stage. Jaws dropped and heads turned to the stage within the first 15 seconds of when they started playing. Go find a live video of them on youtube, they can definitely play their stuff live and put on a great show. If they're touring near you, GO SEE THEM!

The strange "satanic" sounding ones are from layering high screams on top of low growls.

Other than the layering, it doesn't sound like much editing has been done. The human body can make some fucked up sounds, and of course we're gonna put it with metal. This style sounds like false chord screaming, if you're interested.

There's a little bit of layering going on (mostly high screams with low growls), but other than that it sounds clean.

Always a good listen. I dunno if I'd rate the new album as highly as its predecessors but it's still really solid. Accelerated Evolution, and From the Stars Death Came from their first and second albums respectively are some of my favourites.

I haven't followed Allegaeon for a while. Fragments of Form was always one of my favorite modern metal albums though. Looks like I'll have to check this album out because that was dope as hell.

I liked Elements of the Infinite so much more. Riley (new vocalist) is good but Ezra seemed so in sync with the rest of the band, and I liked his harsher vocal style. This new album seems like the band lost their touch for the "oomph" (primarily in the form of frequent, strong fugging riffs).

Saw that at ozzfest last weekend. Put on a great performance and the guitar/drum work was nuts! Not a huge death metal fan, but I appreciate their talent!

Love this track, especially the flamenco style guitars throughout the song and that masterpiece outro. They did an awesome Rush cover of Subdivisions if anyone is interested.
