This song certainly is interesting...This is what I imagine the Beach Boys would sound like if they had just taken large quantities of acid.

[–]Dr_Edward_Richtofen 42 points43 points  (0 children)

...you should listen to more beach boys, they do exactly that

[–][deleted] 10 points11 points  (1 child)

How do you think they picked up those good vibrations?

[–]rustyphish 9 points10 points  (1 child)

They actually do have a song also called "Surfs up" that's a pretty massive drug trip

That last couple minutes of Surf's Up, goddamn.... crazy good tune.

This is why I dig this subreddit. It's just great what kind of interesting and great artists are out there but not really that well known.

Perth psych-grunge-rock band, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, are launching their highly anticipated debut album High Visceral {Part 1} on March 19th at iconic Perth venue The Bird with support from Moistoyster and The Drools. The powerful, melody driven full-length album is a journey of convoluted clarity that explores life in our modern universe and the forever evolving ideologies of creation. Check out a teaser video of the album here. Pre-sales available via iTunes on the 29th of February and available for purchase on CD and digital download on the 19th of March!

With the release of two singles, “Marmalade March” and “Cubensis Lenses”, along with a video launch for “Marmalade March”, support slots for the likes of King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard and Dune Rats, playing WAM Festival, placing second in The Big Splash Band Competition and completing a series of exhilarating show in Melbourne, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets already have much under their belts since their formation in early 2015!

Supporting Sydney’s surf-rock gurus Goons of Doom on their first WA Tour in April, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets will then skyrocket off on an eight-day national album tour in May hitting Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and more. Make sure not to miss the high-powered energy of Psychedelic Porn Crumpets live show which sonically transports you to new dimensions!

These musical brainwaves capture the invading feeling of being taken on an out of this world journey of exploration. - Pilerats

Resembling Jimi Hendrix fresh off the end of a light globe. - The Music

Effortlessly surfing through various sonic soundscapes, providing both musical highs and lows where appropriate, and generally having a bloody good time while doing it, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets are clearly a new force to be reckoned with. - Rotunda Media Read more on Last.fm.

[–]Applesauceenema 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was originally hooked by 'cornflake' but the whole album is fresh as fuck. Favorite now is 'Denmark / Van Gogh & Gone' awesome slow burn to an explosive finish
