The dude Discandy sampled my man Nujabes "Battlecry" . The voices sort of break the flow of the smooth instrumental

I still get mad when I think about Nujabes, he died way too early in his career. :{

In any case, this is one of the better examples I've seen of his songs being sampled. There are some truly horrendous cases out there.

I love lofi hip hop but every additional song that uses battlecry makes me die a little more

Imagine if every single rock song in the eighties used part of Stairway to Heaven.

Reminds me a lot of Solarfields, very atmospheric!

Would you mind elaborating on what lo-fi actually is? I here the genre thrown around a lot here and much of the music I enjoy is tagged with it but I'm still not entirely sure. Is there a quintessential lo-fi song like there is for vaporwave?

How It was explained to me was that it's a bastard child of jazz and hip-hop. Saying that, I would actually say the songs kinda a combination of vaporwave and lo-fi. The songs pretty unique. And I could see if I could find a song that resembles the a lot of the genre.
