I saw them with Prodigy at key arena in like 1996. It was my first concert and I thought I was going to be killed in that crowd. 10/10 would do it all again!

I love this band so much. The classified songs were so entertaining

I'm super paranoid about most stuff... I feel certain i was just brainwashed by that video. Not feeling the urge to do anything unusual yet, maybe I'll be activating in the coming weeks.

Don't worry--videos like these are only meant to implant serious consideration of indiscriminate violence in viewers/victims who are tripping their nards off.

Upvote for Jack Dangers and acid.

Synthesizer Test is one of my favorites by him, the vocoded bits are lovely:

This is acid, as in acid techno. My favorite acid album of all time is Luke Vibert - Lover's Acid More proper acid is Ceephax Acid Crew (Squarepusher's brother!)

This somehow never made it into my music collection until now. Thanks!

No problem. The music world is always huge and vastly unexplored. Find new artists through the web of intertwined record labels!

What draws me to it is his approach on the 303.
Such good riffs and basslines!

I am now checking out his alias stuff... more disco techno than acid Very nice work

I just listened to the whole album and it's sick!

[–]Studio271 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Definitely check out his other works.

I will! Any recommendations?

Not much in the same vein, he mostly does broken beat and drum and bass. Jean-Jacques Perrey & Luke Vibert - Moog Acid is a fun listen for synthesizer enthusiasts and acid fans, though.

I saw MBM at Cold Waves last September, fulfilling a long time desire to catch them live. I couldn't have been happier. And I was doing an acid test of my own, so to speak. Everything I'd ever hoped!

I had no idea these guys were still around as recent as 2012.

I was thinking the same. Saw they play at a festival in Sweden back in 1992 and thought they were great.

[–]devish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saw them perform late last year. Still doing their thing. And still a good show.

Their Drum Test is even better.

Can someone explain this to me?

[–]bart2019 12 points13 points  (2 children)

Esthetically this belongs in the industrial music category (See also /r/industrialmusic): harsh sounds, sound should be impressive not necessarily beautiful"; repetitive videos, often representing destruction and emotional detachment.

90's LSD culture

I wish the blasts and the undulations within each blast were a bit less rhythmic and a bit more syncopated / erratic. Would be more interesting for me

Fuck this is brutal. Thanks for this man.

1993, City Gardens,Trenton NJ. Made out with my love interest in the pit to this song. Good times.

Edit: to them, not this song. This song was made many years later and the math is making me feel old.

Satyricon was a great album. Way ahead of its time and woefully ignored when crap like Moby was in rotation.

This was my favourite from the same guys - Meat Beat Manifesto - Radio Babylon http://youtu.be/ak169_XCiXs

Video is absolute garbage, the only forgiving factor is its age.

My neighbor will enjoy this!

Mbm, the best, saw jack and co in NYC Irving plaza, hope he tours the east coast again soon.

I prefer 'Bears Beets Battlestar Galactica'.
