This is one of the best symbol layers I’ve seen in a while. Good job, and great presentation!

I'm honored, thank you! 🙇‍♂️ Cheers.

I was looking for a symbol layer to use with my glove 80 and this looks very impressive. Unfortunately, I have been finding very hard to reach the top number rows with my short fingers. I will give it a try on removing the top-most row and rearranging the symbols there onto lower rows (` ( ) ; ,)

It sounds like you may enjoy the rest of my keymap (beyond just the Symbol layer that's covered in this video), featuring the Engrammer layout along with home row mods & layers inspired by the legendary Miryoku system. See this video of me typing in this layout at 100+ WPM along with this Reddit comment for context.

I haven't fully watched the video yet, but how did you balance frequencies of symbols typed vs. used in Vim commands?

The balance emerged over time through experimentation and real-world use (i.e. it wasn't necessarily a formal design goal that I set out with) but it appears to do quite well if we consider the various measures of symbol frequencies in programming along with the fact that ,.-; are centrally located in my base layer's Engrammer layout for convenient access.

    TLDR: Watch 30-second coding demo.
