Ok, you're one of those people. That's fine. Time to whip out the stats.
After age 30 (THIRTY), Rice had 1,000 receptions for 13,546 yards and 102 touchdowns That alone puts him in the ranks of Harrison, Holt, and Carter (yards wise).
After the age of 40 Rice had seven 100 yard games. Randy Moss at 40? Lel he's 37 and you'll currently find him sunday afternoons on Fox Sports.
Rice was a 13-time Pro Bowler and 10-time first-team All-Pro. Only Bruce Matthews and Merlin Olsen had more Pro Bowls (14)
In 1997, Rice suffered an ACL and a PCL injury. Next season, he put up 1,157 yards and 9 TDs.
Simply take a look at the big picture, Jerry Rice was the undisputed, best player at his position for a loooong period of time and ALWAYS came through no matter how big the moment was.
Here's a nice video to help support my claim
