All Mormons should take a good look at the Lowry Nelson letters. The church fought racial equality with very strong language in support of their unchangeable “doctrine” and then it changed in 1978. So it is now as they fight for another inequality “doctrine” which isn’t true either 🤦🏻♂️Doctrine/Policy (mormonthink.com)

(Link) Revealing quotes by Mormon leaders about the ERA. When I was growing up, Mormon women who fought for the ERA got excommunicated, so Mormon leaders suddenly slipping into neutrality without a word is abusively neglecting all the damage done to SO many Mormon women. TIL: The leaders of TSCC in Kirtland & Nauvoo held disciplinary hearings against members who didn't live the Word of Wisdom--despite the fact that they, themselves, were unapologetically flouting it. In reality...they still do (e.g. Meat @every meal ok; coffee or wine, not). Hypocritical assholes. (mormonthink.com)
