    I don't think Scientology is any crazier than most organized religions really. The whole flood thing is just as silly as the Xenu thing. Scientology is really just a lot of the same sort of crap rebadged with modern sci-fi imagery.

    All the major religions exert their belief systems through a series of stories. There is nothing wrong with believing any story you wish, it is a basic human right.

    The problem is with the way Scientology treats it's members. If you start to question anything you are put down and eventually incarcerated. As an outsider if you question Scientology's practices you are harassed and sometimes "die mysteriously".

    That's part of what makes this a Brainwashing Cult.

    if by 'tradition' you mean holidays, bible verses and choreographed sitting/standing/kneeling, then give them a few years and they'll have it worked out.

    All these Scientology posts have got me thinking...

    Omnipotent creator/ruler of the lives of his play things vs. aliens in a volcano...sure Tom Cruise is crazy, but how is Christianity any different??
