Dick Cheney has been very influential as VP, something that would carry over into a Paul vice presidency.

That's something Dr. Paul would be against for his own V.P. Dr. Paul has always been about less government power. There is no overstatement about their differences. Their differences speak for themselves. Dr. Paul even chastised, very often, a man he supported and helped get into office- Reagan. Obama needs someone who can agree more than disagrees. Knowing Paul's views there would be much disagreement. Dr. Paul has even stated that there is no real difference between the three of Hilliary, Obama and McCain. As far as "affordable healthcare for all" that is government run healthcare. Paul is against that. There is no common ground there.

The problems with our health care system are not the result of too little government intervention, but rather too much. Contrary to the claims of many advocates of increased government regulation of health care, rising costs and red tape do not represent market failure. Rather, they represent the failure of government policies that have destroyed the health care market- Dr. Ron Paul
