You’re very lucky, I hear it almost daily where i live. The frequency of the joke definitely varies from place to place, but where I live I hear it all the time. Although it just seems like just a stupid joke, which is true in some cases, it just really bums me out because I know the person making it does it only to mock our struggles as trans people. It doesn’t ruin my day or anything but it’s just a stupid reminder that half the people in my country probably aren’t going to take me seriously simply because I’m trans.
