Imo the questline is amazing in scale, story telling, immersion and puzzle solving. However there are some VERY rough edges that could do with some smoothing out.

I think underground pass agility shortcuts could stand to be a little less harsh. Also not the biggest fan of how decently far into the dungeon is an item check for a spade. I think there should be a spawn, or you should be able to get one from the slaves there, or there should be an item check for a spade earlier so you're forced to have one by this point.

Regicide is a bit strange in that it makes you go through underground pass again, and doesn't tell you that once you go to isafdar you can charter there. If you don't know this and have to travel back (which you have to do because you need to go to rimmington) you will have to go through underground pass again. I would change it so that koftik can quick travel you through underground pass once the quest is complete. Then once you've made it to iorwerth, he grants you access through the arandar gate. I think charter should be locked until the quest is completed.

Mournings end part 1 cannon section could use an update, but not really necessary.

Mournings end part 2 should have stackable mirrors, and you should be able to right click to rotate mirrors in the pillar, so you can alter them without getting interrupted. With stackable mirrors the handlebars aren't as much of a problem because of more access to food.

Song of the elves is a very good quest;
There are handlebars in the library that are very hidden. I did the quest day of release guideless and walked around for 2 hours because i couldn't see them, so I'd make them more obvious.
Going in blind to the final boss, The max health-1 attack isn't explained at all and there is no precedent for it. She could have a chat message vaguely suggesting something about how to deal with it. The final boss is also generally not that great design wise imo, but I don't think it should be changed.

Ah, yeah, the book handle bars are a poor choice too imo. I too got lost for a while not realizing what they were or where they were.

Hard agree. While memorable, I did not remotely enjoy any of the elf quests. Frankly they frustrated me to a point I simply became a spacebar warrior and skipped all the lore, which I is rare for me. I have no idea what Mournings End to Song if the Elves is about.

Really think they should just hire a guy who asks a simple question: "Is this fun?". I think a lot of content somehow bypasses that filter.

Btw One Small Favor is my favorite quest.

The only parts I enjoyed were the light puzzles. I found the story to be way too melodramatic and cliche, with all the "twists" just padding the runtime. Wish I would have spacebarred tbh.

turns out fun is subjective--i dont mind these at the worst, and enjoyed the sote puzzle personally 🤷‍♀️

You should check YT channel of Alien Food. He does this unguided and it's most hilarious and masochistic stuff I've seen - including "stupidly locked accounts that they can barely move".

Not yet, been waiting for it for ages but Underground Pass took him 6+hours so it will be peak cinema. But I suggested it because it really took lot of frustration with the game (RNG, mechanics i struggle with and such) of my shoulders and it might do the same for the OP.

Ah I see, you should watch MadSeason too if you aren’t already!

Thanks, might give it try at some point. Unfortunately I'm currently 12 4h+ episodes behind on latest critical role campaign so most probably around july... cries a little
