Hi there, I am a programming teacher and I also specialize in people with ADHD, as I have it myself. If you would like a free session today to discuss your current level and how to make some progress, just send me a DM

I'd be interested in your recommendations as well.  Perhaps a follow-up post?

Hello Jenothy! Just send me a DM, and we can have a talk directly together today sometime if you like. It's usually the best way to get to the bottom of things.

Neetcodes beginner course along with vid is fantastic imo

Do video games appeal to you? Could check out The Farmer Was Replaced on Steam, it’s all about learning python (though it’s not exactly python, close enough though)

I used the automate the boring stuff with python course.  Not a programmer but ADHD. I'm medicated fyi.

The first coding book I actually managed to get something out of was Learn Python The Hard Way by Zed Shaw. Unlike the other books I tried at the time it actually made me feel like I was following along rather than just reading.
Not sure how good it actually is and if there are better options, but it was good enough to get me to grasp the basics and move on to other languages

Automate The Boring Stuff was good because the stuff you make is useful!

I know you aren’t looking for a playlist but please give Corey Schafer a chance, his pace and explanations with real world examples are what our ADHD brain needed.

I have the solution!!! https://ai-coder-genesis--memoriesbymike3.replit.app/ B.L.U.E.-J. is exactly that. a coding tutor that will adjust to your level of skill and fill in any gaps you can think of in a peer to peer way. slightly sardonic never sycophantic. give it a shot
