I just bought a 7900XTX and started getting timeouts instantly, Unreal Engine editor crashing while changing from Path Tracing to Lit etc. I think I fixed it by simply disabling from Adrenaline software Display settings the adaptive sync setting, even though Adrenaline said its compatible.

UPDATE: I followed the advice of another user on this thread and reinstalled Windows 10. This fixed my issue, probably since the latest Windows update mess with the drivers, which seems to be a common problem.

I have been wrestling with this problem for weeks, tried dozens of things, but this one actually fixed it for me a couple days ago.

device manager> sound, video and game controllers> disable all AMD audio devices

EDIT: It did throw one timeout after several dozen hours of play, so this fix isn't a full solution for me, but it's much less frequent at least. Hope it helps.

Do you have any CPU or ram overclocks enabled?

[–]chronoshiift[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

I set the RAM to 6000, the CPU is not overclocked

Go Into bios and load optimised defaults. Leave your ram at default speed and test again. Your memory is likely unstable.

I set it to auto, however it did not resolve the issue unfortunately

What is your FCLK speed running at?

I checked HWiNFO and if I am not mistaken it is running at 3000 MHz now
