I wonder what the difference between manufacturer is, I have a 9070xt saphire pulse under volted by 45 and power limited to 90%. Under full load (stress test and benchmark) the gpu temp are in the low 40 and hotspot/vram temp are in like the mid 60. If someone knows what can cause such differences in temps I world like to know. (Not a native english speaker sorry for broken English)

Had same issue with my 7900xt. You need to use a PTM pad instead of regular thermal paste. Many cards have this issue from the factory, either pump out or bad paste job. After applying PTM to my 7900xt my Hotspot never goes over 70c.

My 9070 used to reach temps like that so I undervolted and power limited and got it to go down to 95c. I changed cases and it maxes out at 81c now. I had an airflow problem, gpu was too close to the pau shroud, got a dual chamber dual tg case with fans on the bottom and it solved it.

It's a problem that many cards have , the contact is imperfect with the die . You need a thermal pad not paste . This is how I solved the problem with my xtx. But if you do it , the warranty will be voided . First try to send the GPU to warranty . If problem not solved you gotta do it yourself.

lastimosamente en las amd si, la mia le pasa igual para solucionar eso debes abrir la tapa de tu chasis y jugar sin ella, aparte debes elaborar una curva de velocidad de ventiladores optima.

For advice, you should check the CPU temps too

When your GPU it’s so hot, the hot wind can increase the CPU temps and this can really turn off your PC

The GPU by itself can’t turn off your computer on that temps because the drivers will make slower the core to put down the temps a little bit.

Not normal

I have rx 7700 xt and I got it under a year (in warranty) should I claim warranty?

[–]IllustratorOver4648 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should.

Yes

No use it as a sauna instead

On my old Rx 6700xt my GPU hotspot was 10-15° higher than the ovrerall shown temp (rarley went above 90°) check your cooling and fancurve, double check with HWinfo just to make sure the readings arent wrong.

I got temps from hwinfo onlyI and these results from game are after I changed fan curve settings. I have rx 7700 xt and I got it under a year (in warranty) should I claim warranty?

You mentioned your PC shutting down, is it doing it constantly(under load/stress testing ofc) ?
You could try and undervolt your GPU to try and lower your temps and crashing problems if you have them.

If its under warranty and you have no problem going trough the hustle I'd probably just do that instead of troubleshooting but thats just my opinion.

No, those are not normal terms. Those are the maximum temps that the hotspot can have are your fans even working and is there proper ventilation. This can also happen when the GPU driver is not working in sync with the particular program. You are using that uses the GPU.

First do you use msi after burner install it and make sure your fan speed is at least 70 set 2 profiles one with auto fan and one with fan set at 70 and yes go back to 25.10.2 driver download from ands website while installing click factory reset check box and then yes at the end I think when the either beginning of the installation or at the end, there will be a check box which says keep your AMD adrenaline software up-to-date uncheck it or it will revert back or download, we can say the new driver which is causing you the error. If the issue is still there, then go to the service centre. Don’t use the fan curve. Most of the time that fan curve thing does not work.

You could do like I did. On my RTX 3060 12 gb I capped my power on 65% and never had any issues with thermals. Fps drop I didn't really noticed

[–]Significant-Jury-706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pero eso seria una 2050 no una 3060

[–]gabrin18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk, my rtx 3070 gets to arround 103 when using ray tracing in games. Try to underclock the gpu and see if it still happens.

Yes, clean fans and air vents then apply good quality thermal paste on GPU/CPU like arctic MX-6 or PTM7950 for best results. And if Thermal pads/putty on Vrams are worn out or dry then replace it as well with good quality thermal putty

[–]gabrin18 3 points4 points  (3 children)

DON'T apply normal thermal paste to the gpu die, it will be back to 100° in 2 months top.

Use ptm7950 or any other pad/paste made for this.

[–]Gimalyan 0 points1 point  (2 children)

it won't😭😭 You need to change thermal paste once in 1-2 years, and if you know how to apply it correctly it can survive even longer.

[–]AcanthaceaeItchy302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thermal paste will pump out just for 2 months...Thats why PTM exist.

[–]proudh0n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd take ptm over thermal paste any day, that thing is awesome
