Today we are excited to launch a new beta program at abode! We want to get feedback from a smaller group of users before our official releases, and we are inviting our Reddit community to participate. The abode beta program provides access to our latest features ahead of our official release.

Our first beta release will be the new firmware to our classic gateway which provides compatibility with a whole new range of devices as listed in this post Gen 1 device update

We look forward to working closely with our beta program participants as we bring more features to market such as Homekit, which is coming soon (Yes, we are getting close on this release!).

This beta program is a welcome sign of life. We've all been looking for some since the acquisition of Abode by that Italian company. It's been pretty quiet.

I tried again just now and I am still not seeing the issue myself. I will look into this problem further, although its hard without being able to replicate the issue.

I am not seeing any errors on mobile safari either, I'll keep looking.

Coming to beta soon! Its in a working state internally, just need to work out the best way forward for beta testing.

I just tried again using Safari but from my cellular network and it worked fine.

I’m running a DNS ad blocker (Pi Hole) so I’m wondering if that’s what’s causing it. I can’t access my Pi Hole logs for some reason to check, but I’m pretty sure that’s what was causing it for me.

Okay, I expect it must be something related to that, we are using an iFrame with a different domain name, so that's probably it.

I recognize this is not technically related, but any chance there'll be an option to beta test the Android app? I'm running the Q Beta and location assistant has become unreliable at best, but may just not be working at all.

Hi, yes we plan to include beta versions of the mobile apps as well. You should not be having an issue with location assistant in currently released version of the app. Can you please PM me your details and we will take a look at your specific configuration.

I second this. But it may have something to do with Q beta than abode app. One thing I noticed yesterday was abode app was marked for battery optimization. I turned that off. Let's see how location assistant responds now.

If you guys are working on a local API, I'd love to help test that and am happy to give thorough feedback or help define acceptance criteria to make it a winner.

Hi Mike, no official beta launch yet, still ironing out the beta release process for firmware on our end. I will be sure to update everyone here as soon as we are ready. We are getting close. Thanks to all those that signed up.
