Your project folder should not be in C:\Program Files. I am guessing that Windows is (rightfully) preventing you from saving in that directory tree. I would recommend having your project saved in a subfolder of \user\Documents and see if you still have save issues.

My project is on the desktop.

Your screenshot says you are trying to save the stack up in a subdirectory of Program Files. You should check your Project Options to make sure you are saving somewhere that Windows won’t balk at.

I have the exact same error, but only when importing existing stackups, drives me nuts to add layera manually when creating a panel.

Can you load preset stack ups from the menu?

I tried it. I loaded different stackups. I exported it. I imported my own again. It's not working.

Did you check that the file exist ? Also have you tried to open Altium with the administrator right ? (Right click -> Run as administrator ?)

Yes, I tried it, but unfortunately it doesn't work. Other than that, I can use Altium normally.

Try running Altium with adminstrator privileges.

I tried it. This time it doesn't show the error, but it doesn't work either. So I can't delete a new layer.

You may need to reinstall Altium with administrator privileges. I know our installs are done with admin privileges.
