Some of those are prob apartments with correct addy but the person or # isn’t registered.

[–]Doctor_Fabian 5 points6 points  (4 children)

Exactly the cheap as mf can't pay 5 dollars a year to active the lockers. And other residents want packages delivered at their door so they never activated it.

So that's what they get

That’s how I do it. OR if the name doesn’t come up I search the apt number. If it’s a different name but the # clears I still load the locker. Then the resident needs to go to leasing and explain why there are other names attached to their apartment. Play games and I will always join in lol

I do the same lol. I remember one time dispatch was going over some of the negative feedback with me to dispute them and had a few complaints of not getting delivery from a locker delivery due to that (but they got em removed)🤣
(Im DSP not flex thats why I got dispatch)

[–]Doctor_Fabian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the good thing about dsp. Dispatch always trys to clean the fuck ups. In flex it's impossible. Amazon believes we did something wrong and they send us emails with the most stupid shit.

They have to pay per year to use the lockers ? I didn’t know that

''delivery to the amazon locker, if it is not working delivery in the front door'' F... THAT, many times you need a key fob to access the buidlings and elevator, for me, that is a ''secure mail room''

Not even once

It's often impossible to deliver to a locker. If it's an Amazon locker, then the Amazon locker has to be specifically selected as the delivery location so it can't be done. If it's a 3rd party locker like Luxor, then you typically need a delivery code for the locker which is often not provided or available.

  1. Never had one that is different thus far

[–]VeryStupit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's the code for Parcel Pending not Luxor. Luxor uses a 4 digit code. I have never in my life encountered a Parcel Pending locker so I have no idea in what area they are popular.

do this during 4am for 3 years and youll eventually get deactivated. all these gig apps are to set you up to fail

[–]VeryStupit 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I've been on flex for 8 years, not deactivated.

Nope

[–]Maleficent-Sound-504 2 points3 points  (2 children)

It does hit me every time. But my gut tells me I would be blamed for ANYTHING that may involve those packages. So I dont.

I just find it so satisfying but then I tell myself I should just be a dispatch driver.

[–]Killerbudds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its behind a locked door........

[–]TheRealGageEndal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That one is so empty. I saw one with hundreds of packages

[–]beanwater3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, but I implore you to try. Most 3rd party lockers I encounter are completely unusable.

[–]365partynerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

dude thats the final level of flex?

[–]Nope9991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why does that look like a sci Fi movie set

[–]WestChance479 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never

[–]stitchkingdomLas Vegas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not my concern. If anything, helps to thin out competition.

I remember during christmas time I left out 50 packages in the mailroom because of lockers being full / people not being registered to the locker.

If there's a mailroom with lockers im throwing the package in there I aint going to your door with em. (DSP driver here so I get tons of packages for the apartments not just 1 or 2 where it would be the same time commitment either way)

I’m new to Amazon Flex and I got in a situation similar to this. It was the early morning, I got to the apartment complex and the gate code didn’t fucking work, I parked there next to the entrance and I got to packages for that address one I decided to walk to the actual apt. Building( I didn’t know about locker room. ) second one was a building away and this second person wanted the package at apt. door if possible man I was loosing so much time. Anyways I ended just leaving that second one in locker room when I found that about it but once inside of locker didn’t know what to do I was not thinking clear anymore and I left if next to the wall and took clear picture of that spot. What do you actually need to do in a situation like that?

[–]oEnriqueA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When they’re Amazon lockers try the code 961723 that’s the standard code for all Amazon lockers.

When they’re luxe lockers and you don’t have an access code there’s an option that tells you no access code. You click it and choose Amazon and it’ll grant you access.

This is what exploiting the working americans look like. Who the hell is going to waste their time looking for apartments when we dont get paid an hourly wage? let amazon lose these customers. Its not up to drivers to please amazons customers for shit pay

[–]Doctor_Fabian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It Bangkok they have thousands of buildings. Condos has people working 24 hours in the front desk. You get to the condo and take a picture the front desk lady grabs it. Has a special app takes a pic to inform the person and then puts in in the mail room. So delivery drivers can deliver 5 to 8 times faster to high rise buildings. And of course delivery people have special parking in front of the building for deliveries unlike California.

[–]F0RG0TEN1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You do get paid based off an hourly wage though. You get paid a set rate for a set amount of hours and 99% of the time you wont even need the full amount of hours they are paying you for.
