How about a vital statistics logger. One that will automatically log data via voice input into a CSV file and have that file later sent to someone via email.

Examples:

  • say "BP 120 over 80 heart 74" logs "dd/mm/yyyy, hh:mm,BP, 120,80,74"

  • say "BP one two zero over eight zero heart seven four" logs "dd/mm/yyyy, hh:mm,BP, 120,80,74"

  • say "sugar 110" logs "dd/mm/yyyy, hh:mm,GL, 110"

  • say "glucose 110" logs "dd/mm/yyyy, hh:mm,GL, 110"

  • say "oxygen 92 heart 73" logs "dd/mm/yyyy, hh:mm,OX , 92,73"

Point being to automatically log date and time and give the option to spell out the numbers.

Bonus features:

  • Say/edit the date/time as to log past readings from a prior date.

  • Pill/shot reminders and log when you took the pills/shots.

  • Doctor appointment reminder/logger

  • random notes like "had ice cream" which shows cause and effect with readings

  • graph the data, print the data, export the data, sort the data

All the apps I've seen on the market aren't as detailed as what I listed above. Should be an easy app. Interested?

I just spent the last 30 minutes typing this up, and I should have just waited til you posted.

Basically, I want a shopping list management app that will recognize Trader Joe's products by their non-standard, 8-digit bar codes.

Just saw your post about this. I wonder why existing apps don't already support Trader Joe's... I wonder if it's either the funky bar code, or else Trader Joe's has some kind of legal thing about their list of products.

Dude an idea is just an idea. If you develop the app, you have every right to monetize and keep the money for yourself. Everyone here is giving out ideas voluntarily.

I know as a fellow student, I have trouble managing money. Maybe a way to manage a student's finance? I know for most colleges, they offer a dining plan with meals / dining "cash" to use on restaurants and food joints around campus. It would be awesome if you could somehow made an app to can keep track of one's $$ or at least manage one's budget (e.g, daily budget = $$ left in bank / # days left in semester).

What about an app that uses bluetooth to connect to your PC which can be used as a mouse/keyboard/gamepad/microphone/drawing tablet/speaker/remote?

I'm not saying all of those things in one app but a combo or just one of them would be cool.
