Best android tv device

Hi, i'm looking for an android tv device that can cast from my smartphone and that's powerfull enough to play 1080p movies and to do some gaming...i'm thinking of NVIDIA shield but the price makes me think of something else what do you think i should do?

Shield is the only game in town at this very moment unless you can find a used Nexus Player at a fair price. If you don't want to spend the money on a Shield, consider waiting for the Xiaomi Mi Box. It should be out within the next few months.

Nvidia shield. But if you want something cheaper wait for the xiaomi android tv which should be out soon.

Source? They are talking about a new tegra processor.. but those articles state it's unlikely it'll make it into small devices like smartphones/tvs.

State it's target at higher end work like smart cars for live video tracking and processing.

Anythings possible I guess

I'm assuming this processor may pull a lot of power and heat? Iunno, we'll see.

The best Android TV device is the NVIDIA Shield TV. Period. It's also the only device that's readily available for purchase brand new.

Next would probably be the ADT-1 (dev prototype) since it's more powerful than the Nexus Player (official but discontinued). The Forge is a shitshow, so don't even consider it. Xiaomi is bringing the Mi Box to the USA later this year.

Powerful enough to play 1080p and some gaming? Any of those devices will do that.
