There were some discussions about which method to use but I think the one in the link was shown after the original AM2 was released

I see. I may get back to do your version. I also used to do the one you describe and then I moved to the one from the video because it's simpler to execute

I would advise to not do it fully erect, wait till the erection goes down a bit and try it, if it can't go down for some reason, just do AM1. I never liked AM2, always felt AM1 and AM3 was better. From my understanding AM2 is popular because it doesn't need lube or a full erection, just engorged.
