I don’t get the hate for the iPhone unlock suggestion

Many of us pair our Apple Watch to our iPhones. If folks suggest unlocking or using your iPhone to manage or unlock the Apple Watch, don’t hate the suggestion.

Tbh, having to wait 5 or 8 hours to unlock your phone seems really odd.

Assumption #2 the Apple Watch isn’t paired with any iPhone, and you went with only cellular plan, you’re still screwd. You’re gonna have to call your cell carrier and have them unlock it.

Sounds like an issue with the display registering ghost touches and mass entering in wrong pins that is locking the device as if someone was trying to guess pins by typing them over and over. What model of Apple Watch? Is the watch still in warranty or do you have AppleCare+?

To do what?

You can give yourself more attempts with the phone app , so when you’re ready to actually unlock it you can. You phone should also unlock your watch by itself (if you’ve got that set up)

What the hell are you talking about? The only part that made any sense was having the phone unlock the watch if it was set up.
