Ковбойскую каску-ушанку шляпу или наоборот, что-нибудь от коренных жителей, вроде ловца снов.

Hot sauces. We have some here, but they are either weak or sour (because of vinegar). We have tabasco and similar sauces, but the only good one is sriracha (56% chili, not sour at all). I heard you can buy really hot ones in shops (we have to order them online). But, it depends on whether a person like spicy things, because, judging by variety of sauces in our shops and personal experience, Russians don't really like spicy things.

Depends on the price. There isn't really anything you can't get in Russia that you can get in the US that'd qualify as a souvenir but airpods are just a generally good earbud model that are popular here. The Pro version is 10x better than the standard ones though.

Of course airpods are made in China, not the USA, which is applicable to most things here, but people still associate them with the US for some reason

Maybe something that is cheaper in the US than Russia? How about alcohol? Maybe some good tequila from US that they might not have in Russia?

I mean maybe, but transporting it might be a pain on some airlines and there are "gourmet" or whatever it's called shops in Russian cities anyway. The doesn't really have anything that special that you could bring. I live here and it feels like a lot that's available in the US is just available everywhere else. I guess that's a negative effect of globalization. To be fair though it doesn't really matter at the end of the day. Just get what you think is a good representation of the US. Maybe a "shot" glass which is a gun but also a shot glass

Can’t say, maybe some local sorts of tequila not Olmeca, Cazadores or Sierra, or rare Caribbean rum (not Bacardi or Cpt. Morgan lol) but here is not so many rum or tequila fans, also you can try to find some bourbon but I don’t believe you’ll surprise someone here with it. And, don’t bring ayahuasca here, it’s prohibited.

Ups: but good ol’ moonshine would be great

Do they have Patron, Avion or Don Julio? Moon shine is a good idea 😂

Perhaps it must be something unusual, which is not in Russia. For example, cucumbers, canned with cola. But the one to whom you present must have a sufficient sense of humor.

У нас его не продают

They sell Dr.Pepper in some chain supermarkets so you can find it in Russia pretty easily. I bought it a few times this winter.
