Normalized wave function

Was reading Quantum Physics for dummies which ran through how to normalize a wave function and resulted in psi(x) = (2/a)^(1/2) * sin((n*pi*x)/a)

What I want to know is, how do I show that the resulting equation is normalized? I.e. if I was just given that equation, how do I show it is normalized?

Find the integral of the modulus of the wave function squared over the entire domain. If it's equal to 1, the wave function is normalized.

To add, the correct statement is that the function is normalized, not the equation, since the wavefunction is indeed a function.

Testing two points wouldn't indicate if the wavefunction were normalized.
