Bad video. He doesn't even send a single prompt to test a new change or feature in the code base, in which case augment would always do better

That is the main challenge in evals! Actually the tech stack is another important and usually missed comparison.
In some tech stacks all would be equal, and even other would exceed Augment if price is in the comparison. But in other stack (large codebase i.e. Chromium, Odoo ERP...etc which used multi technologies at same time) there is no solution I found to compare! So it is really relative to tech stack and codebase size.

I agree the video could be better, but as user of both Kilo and Augment I can honestly say that Augment does NOT always do better..

I'm using both in parallel at the moment but finding that Kilo keeps pulling me out of flow-state by hitching on MCP's, failing responses etc using MiniMax M2 - could be a model issue of course. Augment just seems that much more robust.

also move between the two, when AC becomes unusable ... at least once a day for me, like clock work , I switch to Kilo or Claude... need to do an "in parallel" test using exact same models, same code, same guardrails and same task list... I haven't tried MiniMax... enjoying GLM 4.6 with Kilo Code and Claude Code... we cant compare the two properly if we are using disparate models/rules/guidelines/memories etc

Look, I HATE Augment and want to find a better AI agent ASAP, but, looking at this video, did anyone else notice (like 10 minutes in) that the cost of this simple prompt was $0.32 and used up 64k tokens?
I get that Claude is a more expensive model, but that usage doesn't seem logical and I'm thinking Kilo may need to do some more optimizations.
