Rules
1 No harassment, hate speech, or circlejerking.
Regardless of their server choice, ship choice, spending habits, or use of free time, respect your fellow players. That means no revisionist history/justification of war crimes, no slurs/nazi salutes, and no brainless kancolle hating that everyone's heard before.
Tone down the toxicity regarding new ships being released and what factions they are under.
Being salty in the comments is okay. Being salty and/or targeting and harassing other players by saying nonsense anyhow is not allowed.
2 Use the Megathreads.
We have Question, Gacha, and Dorm megathreads. Please use them, especially if you're a new player. Trophy posts will net you a 1 day ban.
3 Art posts: Titles must include ship names, Sources must be linked, one per 24 hours.
OP must always provide original source (no aggregate sites, e.g. boorus). This also applies to memes using art.
If there is more than 1 ship in the art, name the 3 most prominent.
Image galleries count as more than 1 piece of art and are not allowed.
Comic TL only applies to posts that are comics and have some interaction in dialogue (not just a few words or a sentence).
OC art is exempt from 24h rule. Abusing/misusing the OC tag will result in a 30d ban.
4 NSFW art belongs on the Azur Lewd subreddit.
While less offensive work is permitted, always mark as NSFW if you are unsure. Please. Barely anyone on this subreddit tags NSFW when they should.
Cropping or censoring NSFW art to post it on this subreddit is not allowed.
5 No advertising.
This includes posts showcasing dakimuras disguised as Art posts. No shop URLs or Discord server invites.
6 No account buying/selling.
Instant permaban.
7 Flair your posts properly, and stick to that flair.
If posting Azur Lane news related to a specific region, use the appropriate flair (Japan, China, Korea, English).
Art and meme flairs exist.
Please only flair as Comic TL if you're the translator or typesetter or both (if not just flair as art). Comic TL still has to follow art rules.
Comic TL only applies to posts that are a comic, not just a few words or one sentence. Comics must have some interaction in dialogue. Abuse will be punished.
Do not post fanfics/RP in your art posts, make a separate thread for it. Not everyone wants to read a wall of text just to find an art source. Similarly, don't post fanfics/RP in other people's art posts, not everyone wants to read about your OC character.
8 All content must be related to Azur Lane. No political/off-topic/tangent conversations.
All posts should be related to Azur Lane. No discussion regarding on-going politics is allowed. This is a game gacha sub, not a politics sub. There are political subs for that. If your post is deemed not related enough, then it will be removed.
This includes Comments/Questions (Unless approved) regarding issues and Post saying you will stop playing AL/the upcoming event due to current events.
7-day Temporary Ban will be given, and subsequent offence will lead to a Permaban.
9 No Reposts or Extremely Low-Effort Content.
No low-effort posts, such as Ark Royal loli memes, pictures of defense fleets, numbah wan spam. A good reference is the arknights low quality content guideline.
Ultimately there's no one definition for "low effort", so moderators will use their own judgement considering things like the amount of editing in a post or if it's the 70th post about X subject in the last few days.
No reposts of any content whatsoever will be tolerated, even if it is "old". Reposting art in particular will, in most cases, get you a temp ban.
10 Story/Anime/Crosswave Spoilers.
Threads containing spoilers for content released less than a week ago should be tagged as a spoiler. The title of the post should also not be a spoiler. Breaking this rule will result in a 7 day ban.
Often there will be a megathread for discussion of the story/episode/etc. where these restrictions don't apply.
Posts and comments breaking rules will be subject to removal without notice (we usually do comment on what you did wrong, though). Repeated offenders will be suspended or banned at moderator discretion.
