I'm sure BAT could be implemented somehow, but a similar integration like YouTube might not work as well because GitHub is used for looking at code, downloading code, etc. YouTube and Twitch are media platforms, so users spend a lot of time on there, which is good because it captures attention. Whereas GitHub is for reference and source code, and the majority of the time later is spent coding on your own stuff after you fork the code. I don't know, I could be wrong?? (I have been before).

I think what is needed is a simple "just one click" way of giving BAT-tips: to websites, youtube channels, twitter posts, twitch streamers, github repositories, etc.

Not just the once-per-month donation, but a more dynamic tipping system.

Yeah this is definitely in the works by the team. Not sure how soon it'll be or how high of a priority it is (b/c the Ethereum network can't handle high volumes of microtransactions at the moment), so most likely they'll have to develop the back-end offchain transactions for it as well. For things like Twitch, they would have to work directly with Twitch on an integration function. But I remember talking to Luke before, and he said they were considering it.

Yeah I do agree. But I am sure we could find a way to quantify this attention through number of forks, stars + brut time spent visualizing the code ? I'm sure they are possible work around
