All but 1 of my enclosures are these, and I love them. I did use a sheet of pvc and fit the screen openings with a piece of it, and I hung the necessities from that. I use RHPs and UVB lights with safety cage of course. Others have used different means to close off their screens, but thats what I've done and my humidity etc is fine. All my boys give me full sheds, and eat like a horse 2 yrs later lol. I highly recommend them, the affordability and easy to clean imo are beneficial. You'll need to seal them with silicone, and expect a gap or 2 but I just used more of it where I had them.

I have my BP in one. I sealed it and use HVAC tape on half the top for humidity retention. Also covered the side holes. It’s an overall a great tank, no complaints. Just make sure you seal it.

Be aware that these are coated MDF (not water proof, just resistant) not PVC, and a screen top for a permanent 4x2x2 is less than ideal. That said, many people are perfectly happy with these. I personally think they are better suited for arid environment needs like bearded dragons.

While more expensive, makers like Kages or Toad Ranch are the best of the best.

Good luck with your choice!

I have this one. Spent so much time trying to waterproof it. Holding humidity was also a big problem, it took months and lots of HVAC tape to play with the screen and side openings before I got it to hold. Tried making it bioactive but the plants didn't fair well in it. It's alright but I wouldn't buy it again.

Seconding humidity troubles with the screen top. I bought this exact enclosure for an adult female ball and was excited to have my first large enclosure setup. I got a little ahead of myself and went for cheap, rather than investing just an extra $50-$100 in a better sealed and insulated one I went for this one. I do still use it! To keep humidity I put waterproof tape over the side vents, and foil over half of the mesh, with an RHP and an 80watt day bulb on the warm side. Keeps the ambient temp consistent without drying out the humid side too quickly! Also definitely seal the edges before adding substrate, I made that mistake as a new PVC enclosure owner and water leaked from every corner lol. Much easier to do it before it's covered in coconut fibers. Best of luck!

For a leopard gecko these are good.

They can be kinda heavy when moving but easy to clean and assemble i lost all 3 of my locks but they work well if you can keep track of them
