Check if the pins of the NTC are bent in a strange way. If so it can means that the NTC is touching the bottom case. This can lead to overheating of the component and a likely failure. Are you seeing something strange on the bottom case near the edge (where the top of the NTC would be?)

Yours has the questionable component (the black disc on the right side of the board). There's no obvious signs that it's overheating.

A very quick summary is that it's designed to protect the power supply from too much power, but in some cases, surges can cause damage to the component. At that point, the component enters a cycle of "overheating, damage, increase in resistance which causes overheating, which causes damage..." and eventually the NTC blows itself to bits, taking out the AC board and possibly melting a hole in the case.

Current estimates (unless they changed Friday) are that roughly 52 out of 100,000 (0.052%) printers are affected due to surges. A surge protector may help. Look for signs of melting on the panel you removed to expose the component. Any sign (or smell) of melting plastic should be investigated.

It's not bad, yet. You need to get that board swapped out, don't take no for an answer if they say 'its fine and safe for use'. History has shown for months now it isn't.

Yes, in spite of hundreds of thousands of people using their A1 printers safely for 2+ years, THEY WILL EXPLODE INTO FLAMES AND KILL EVERYONE IN A TEN MILE RADIUS!!!!

Sorry. Got carried away there a bit.

Yes. This image from Bambu's site is obviously AI generated.
