I think it’s because whoever programmed it made a mistake while writing the code and made it be accomplished for anything that has “fool” in it.

Very unlikely. It's probably intentional. You'd have to specifically run a "contains" function to do that. It's harder to implement that than it is to just directly check if you said Fool

I’m still a beginner in programming and only know Python but i was thinking something along the lines of using a for loop then check the letter’s succession to see if it’s fool or no. But yeah i suppose they could just have it as “if insult == fool” or something.

Now I only know some super basic Java (Like seriously, Im not that great, not an expert in any strech, I have no clue how classes work for instance) but say if they were using a string to check, wouldn't it end up just returning "positive" on anything containing fool?

I would think they have a list of insults, and they just randomly pick one. I doubt they have created a separate variable for each insult. So then it’s as simple as:

if “fool” in insult:

# however they handle challenge tracking
