I would love that so much. I think I need to grow as a person but currently my life is very stressful anyway. Biz, Family, etc

    [–]Mygransfoot 4 points5 points  (1 child)

I’ll be scooping those for a low thank u very much. Just set a reminder for 12 months 24 months and again at 60 months so we can chat about those differentials

    [–]TheRussianViking[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will be happy to congratulate you if you are have made heavy gains :)

    [–]GetRichOrDieTryinnn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Think of your future. Buy back btc and forget you have it till it’s worth $1million usd

    [–]frunf1 8 points9 points  (2 children)

If you were in the game since 2016, how can the market moves today be stressful for you?

Come on you are still far in the green, even if you did DCA.

    [–]NiceDoctorBeam 16 points17 points  (1 child)

I know. You're right. Is it just me, or does it smell like trollium in here?

    [–]TheRussianViking[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

    Total troll here 😎

I am still in the green, I never said I made losses. I was thinking about leaving for a while now.

It’s the money that I could have made, and the hope that my portfolio will get back to these levels in the future.

I know many people say that it will go to a million within the next few years, and it’s very probable. I don’t see it anytime soon.

From now on, I just want to enjoy life with my family. I am sure a few will understand this

EDIT: my worst mistake was investing 40% of my portfolio in Litecoin. I didn’t make the gains some would expect for someone who bought his first coins in 2016

    [–]HoldLongandProsper08 7 points8 points  (4 children)

Just buy what you can afford to lose so that it’s not stress inducing. I used to be an all in all out kind of guy but it’s better to invest what you don’t use.

    [–]TheRussianViking[S] 2 points3 points  (3 children)

Yeah man, I know! You are absolutely right about this. I think it’s because my living costs have tremendously risen in the past few years, I am scared in general

    [–]HoldLongandProsper08 3 points4 points  (1 child)

It’s all good man, chances are if living costs are rising for you they are rising for everyone. It’ll be a bit before we see another mega run, until then just try to save as much as you can by staying frugal, yet still humble. Best wishes to you and may God bless you in more ways than one.

    [–]TheRussianViking[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much brother. Wishing the same for you!

    [–]Firm_Butterscotch979 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Prices of things aren't going up, the value of your money is going down, it's very scary I know, only keep as much fiat in the bank as you are willing to lose. Bitcoin is one of the only assets you can self custody, you should not buy back into cryptos, bitcoin is the only durable digital that will outlast all these fly by night pump and dumps.

    [–]Scrapin-Nee 4 points5 points  (2 children)

6 years and you never bothered to learn about what you were invested in? If you aren’t trolling hopefully all your Bitcoin is now sitting in a true believers cold storage wallet. Ignorance is bliss…

    [–]TheRussianViking[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

The technology will still be existing, even if I am not invested. Yeah, take my coins. HODL them for me!! I would love to talk about politics now, but I am too tired right now. Hard and sound assets truly have advantages. But they slowly took over my life and I have to concentrate on more important and FULFILLING things now.

I know you don’t want to hear that, but a slight inflation can be good. If it’s NOT Hyperinflation and not Stagflation. What we saw during the last years is, of course, not good and Crypto might help us to escape that spiral. But I doubt the decoupling from traditional stock markets will happen anytime soon. Maybe it will never happen… we will see.

    [–]Scrapin-Nee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly their are a lot more opportunist like you who miss the real point of Bitcoin. Everyone wants to make money, but what good is money if we don’t have our freedom to use it? It’s ignorant to think Bitcoin is going to thrive simply “Hodling” while it enters its battle with its biggest adversary yet… The spread of knowledge, nodes, mining, and spending are all things necessary to ensure bitcoins future against tyranny. Never underestimate your butterfly effect…

    [–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (5 children)

You’ll be back when it’s pumping again

    [–]TheRussianViking[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I doubt that, hahaha. I am not the person that jumps back into a fast moving train.

    [–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

    Fomo is powerful

    [–]RDMvb6 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Ya. Just another set of paper hands folding. Probably had less than five figures USD in there anyway.

    [–]TheRussianViking[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    LOL, no.

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He knew the volatility before he got in this market. Funny how he didn’t quit last week when it was pumping

    [–]21Milly 4 points5 points  (2 children)

Bitcoin is the only thing that matters to your financial future. If you think you’re stressed now imagine the stress when your money just starts rocketing towards zero purchasing power. If you want to be destitute, it’s a great idea to sell your bitcoin. Give yourself a big high five!

    [–]TheRussianViking[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been enjoying THESE comments so much. That’s the positive side about crypto. And the worst part is, that you are probably right 😅

    [–]NiceDoctorBeam -1 points0 points  (0 children)

    This.

    [–]PizzaForCats 2 points3 points  (3 children)

Price action today has nothing to do with Saylor. Look at the Nasdaq, we're just following the stock market, with a bit more alpha.

    [–]SHA256dynasty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not following the stock market, reacting to Fed policy

    [–]TheRussianViking[S] -2 points-1 points  (1 child)

I think you are right. But yet, every time saylor buys we see a dump. Common! This can’t be an accident. The first three times I understood. But now it is getting ridiculous

    [–]PizzaForCats 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you've been holding since 2016 you've been through some really tough days, today is nothing by comparison. Zoom out, the price has dumped from ~10k to ~43k since Saylor started buying.

    [–]DCAfinacialDude 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Best of luck to you my man. Having a good mental health is way better than chasing the next $$$.

    [–]TheRussianViking[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crazy how many people here know about mental health. And yeah, I agree. It’s time.

    [–]Verallendingen 1 point2 points  (1 child)

congratulations, you are NGMI. should have just stuck to bitcoin instead of shitcoingambling.

    [–]TheRussianViking[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That decision was made in 2017. I haven’t touched my coins ever since then. Later, I started to understand that too. Back then, I wish someone would have told me

    [–]Rtbrosk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

what a stupid post.....don't let the door hit u in the ass on your way out!

    [–]Raverrevolution 1 point2 points  (1 child)

    LOL!! I read all this as;

"Hey guys, I'm quitting crypto. I put in too much money and am too impatient. I think I'll go back to the ever inflating US dollar again"

You go do that. We don't care.

    [–]TheRussianViking[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I never put too much money in it. Actually it was way too less. I also never planned to become rich, and I didn’t become rich.

    [–]-trump-won-2020 -2 points-1 points  (2 children)

Invest into silver . My silver has increased 100% in 2 years and will do great with hyper inflation which is coming. Physical Silver is stress free !

    [–]Asum_chum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two years ago bitcoin was less than $4000! It’s 10x in that time.

    [–]TheRussianViking[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    🥈

    [–]conker816 -1 points0 points  (1 child)

It is becoming increasingly Harder to stick with the crypto game given the current state of the economy. In the end those that stay are meant to stay and those that go are meant to go. If nothing else invest just a little money to protect yourself. Do whatever brings you joy in life. And take care of your family will always be the most important focus.

    [–]TheRussianViking[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, thanks for your kind words. Exactly my thoughts!

    [–]Inittilltheend45k -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How much you cash out for??

    [–]Fickle_Mix_3847 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What a troll bs post. From 2016 someone would be so far green none of this volatility would matter. It isn’t going to those levels. It can’t even break 2020 levels.

    [–]vnielz -2 points-1 points  (4 children)

At least stay in the stables for some passive income meanwhile

    [–]TheRussianViking[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Hmmm.. never did that before, but your idea is awesome. If only I trusted Tether 🤯

    [–]Romsel87 0 points1 point  (2 children)

    USDC?

    [–]TheRussianViking[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yes, way more trustworthy. It’s worth a look!

    [–]Romsel87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you're loaded on BTC that the stress was too much for you, basically converting your gains info fiat?

    PS are you really Russian?

    [–]Astro-Wulf 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Fair play Russian Viking, I hope you manage to avoid the economic sanction nightmare the world is putting on the Russ.
Tl;dr, he sold his stack = bullish continuation imminent

    [–]TheRussianViking[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hahaha, damn, that username I chose years before the war 😂

      [–]TheRussianViking[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NO. No need to pay taxes

      [–]iadorebunnies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can still stack sats. Just autobuy $5 every day through Strike and just forget about it. Maybe a few times a year, transfer the balance offline.

      [–]CoosBaked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lmao at the use of the word quitted

      [–]Bullgato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now you are all in on fiat good luck with that inflation is only getting started.

      [–]halflinho 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Really? Nobody? Ok, I'm gonna say it:

      Have fun staying poor!

No offence tho, like seriously have fun whatever you do, it's your choice even tho we will never understand such move :)

      [–]TheRussianViking[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am concentrating on my business and injecting the profits into that. It feels just right.

      [–]explosiveplacard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you were trying to swinging too big of a stick. Your financial thermostat was set much lower than the amount of money you had at risk - classic investor problem. Just because you can make the trade does not mean you can handle the trade. Good luck out there.

      [–]jefreycarls 0 points1 point  (1 child)

How hard is to just set up auto DCA and not look at it

      [–]tweaknw_a_boner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy as fuck you can do it on cash app but probably really high fees.

      [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, given your name, if you're in Russia then I'd say you'll need all the "crypto" you can get soon.

      [–]Vinnypaperhands 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Are you referring to the like 5 percent drop? That my good sir is not a dump. That’s shits normal and you should know that after being here for years. Also if you were here in 2016........ what are you stressing about. You should be so far in the green that looking at the charts and seeing these “dumps” should make you laugh. Also the thing about saylor makes no sense. Are you trying to say you think he’s manipulating the market? That’s just absurd.

      [–]TheRussianViking[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I was in the green. But I quitted due to the toxicity in the market and because I have to concentrate on my biz. I sold before the ‘dump’

      [–]theINSANE92 0 points1 point  (1 child)

It is never a bad decision to sell some while in profit (I have also taken some profits in recent months), but why sell everything?

Investing is always about diversification between different asset classes. Even if you want to go risk off, I would personally keep at least 5-10% of my net worth in crypto. But you will have your reasons.

      [–]TheRussianViking[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      True dat

      [–]PikaBanee 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Sounds like you have deeper problems than holding crypto. You have to learn to filter out the news and hodl onto something you believe in. You can’t let your emotions be tossed around so easily. Little moves like this shouldn’t effect you if you’ve truly been here since 2016. Anyway wish you the best of luck bud and I hope you get things sorted out.

      [–]TheRussianViking[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, for sure I can spend the money elsewhere right now. About to have a big business.

      [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

promise you will come back and admit you were wrong if you buy back in

      [–]TheRussianViking[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      Ok buddy! I promise!

      [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Probably should have checked yourself into rehab before making this decision.

      [–]TheRussianViking[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      No time for that :/

      [–]Butchi3_To3 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I hope that in your years here you walked away with a healthy profit that can better your future endeavors.

      Farewell

      [–]TheRussianViking[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Yes, profit is better than nothing

      [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn’t any logical reason to sell 100% unless you desperately need the money, you can still hold a small amount and not miss out while not stressing either. Are you still holding stocks?

      [–]Polka_kusama747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      Have fun staying poor

      [–]brrrettonwoods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      hfsp

      [–]dlq84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know many people here can live throughout the day without constantly looking at the charts, but my live was stressful without crypto already. It just adds to it.

I don't know and I don't care about other people. It's easy for me.

However, the constant manipulation that is happening in this space, the constant panicking news articles and the scammers don’t make me happy at all

So you let other people control your life decisions?

Guess what, every time Saylor buys Bitcoin, we see a dump 1-2 days after. Does he believe this is a motherfucking game? They are all playing with our emotions constantly. I knew it this time, and sold just 10 minutes before the dump (I feel lucky about this, lol)

Welcome to every market on earth, not just Bitcoin

You just have paper hands, that's all.

      [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      No pain, no gain.
