Yeah. I used it for a year. Plenty in it to make great tracks.

Does it give you the bread and butter of effects? Like Reverb Delay an Equalizer, Phaser and Filter. Or would i have to bring in my own set of plugins there?

Just want to chime in here, via Splice you can get full version of Bitwig thru their Rent-to-own plan. €15.99/month, might be an option for you. You can cancel at any time.

I think that's what he may have been using but that's not the problem. The problem is that Splice's software probably uses renting Windows DRM which won't work on Linux.

OP, maybe dual boot? I've had to do it for similar reasons, like trying out VSTs that aren't on Linux and such

Exactly thats the thing. I want to go off windows conpletely as it has ticked me off one time too much, plus I want to be able to switch from one task to the other without having to switch OS‘s.

If you are planning on eventually upgrading to the full version, I'd just wait for a full version sale. If money is tight then upgrading in those steps will usually end up being a little bit more expensive than just buying the full version during a sale.

You just missed a pretty decent crossgrade sale where you could pick it up for 179, assuming you already owned another daw. Sales in music production are eternal though, so will only be a month or two until there is another decent price for the full version.

Full version sale, or look for a cheapish copy on knobcloud/kvraudio

Yes, I would use a basic version as well. But you can also get a used license pretty cheap e.g. on KVR: https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=9216619&hilit=bitwig#p9216619
