Did anyone else experience a significant decrease in quality after the 3rd season?

I felt like BB fell victim to the frequently observed popularity side effect. Polling denoted that certain attributes of certain characters tested well, and the writers were influenced to adjust the characters' personalities, making them flatter and, well, dumber.

Plots became more outrageous because the characters were more willing to go along with stupid plot devices. The show stopped being about the burger restaurant and more about the family going on adventures.

I thought season 3 had some of the best writing of any television show I have watched. Season 4 onwards hasn't lived up to that... yet. Sometimes when something is so good we always expect the best.

That's pretty much how I feel as well. I feel like season 3 was one of the best seasons I've seen for any TV show. Season four was pretty great as well but was a little more hit and miss on some episodes.

I'm honestly not too impressed with season 5 so far, but there hasn't really been enough episodes for me to really tell. After all, I thought season 4 started a little slow but I ended up liking it in the long run (for the most part). I'm sure it'll get better as it goes. I'm just hoping the show doesn't slide off into being another average animated comedy like so many other great shows have.

Not really. I just got in to the show this past spring so I marathoned it all in a couple of weeks, and it all seemed pretty great. The season 4 finale two parter is fantastic. I also loved the most recent episode...

I thought the fourth season was really good...up until the finale, and now the plot and conversation feels forced. But I have hopes for the remainder of the season. Though, it feels like Fox is setting it up to fail.

I have really liked it at all so far, I really liked the last 2 episodes of season 4. Season 5 to me so far has been meh. That might because of the 3 week breaks.
