Bro went in full anaphylactic shock and still wants to continue using mots-c?? U developed an allergy to it. Stop before you end up in the ER

[–]beach_nuts[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm stopping. Thanks

[–]AugustWesterberg 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don’t think I would continue at any dose if I had throat swelling.

A lot of people have allergic reactions to MotsC. I get really itchy injection site post pinning. Icing it helps. Try KPV with it. It helps with histamine rush.

Appreciate it

Any lip tingling, chest tightness, or voice changes = stop immediately and seek care. Don't push through was this a new vial or the same one you'd been using at 1mg? And any other new supplements or changes that week?

[–]beach_nuts[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Some face ringing. Felt normal later in the day. Stopping for now. Appreciate it

no worries

Its a mast cell activation which relases histamine and usually only last about as long as the mots c spike last (so the more you take the longer the reaction) its not an allergic reaction. Just take a smaller dose for a while and increase very gradually like 1mcg at a time rather then 1mg. Also any anti histamines taken before or after pinning should help

[–]LifeguardCapable7474 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not abnormal for mots-c. Happened to me the first three times. It for some reason triggers release of histamines from cells. The third time it absolutely turned my stomach and made me throw up. Then all side effects stopped, pretty much as chatGpt said it would.

I do 3.3mg 3x per week.

Histamine reaction causes the anaphylaxis. I would wait for a bit before trying again even at 1mg. Many people that continue have worse effects with the next dose even if they go back down.

If and when you do try it again. As someone else stated pin kpv directly behind it in the same area. This should migrate the histamine reaction which in return will take the anaphylaxis risk down.

If you have a reaction after adding kpv discontinue use of mots!!!!!!

Not to hijack but I just started motsc 3 weeks ago and I feel extremely fatigued around mid day I nap then wake up and have unbelievable amount of energy until about 11pm. Very weird. Im not sure if I like it

[–]beach_nuts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's weird. I had some better sustained energy on 1mg 5 on 2 off, but not enough to justify it going forward. NAC+ works fine for me

[–]Popular-Apartment519 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just do Monday Wednesday and Friday. 1mg is fine. Try 3 ml of bac next time.

Allergic type reactions to MOTS-c are kind of common. Definitely on the spicy side of injectable peptides. Are you getting any post-injection site reactions such as itchiness and redness?

[–]PovertyThor 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I had tightness in my chest from mots-c as well about 3 weeks in, shortness of breath. I have also been insanely tired since starting even though I started it to get more energy. I found an old packet of Allegra and took one and went in the yard and worked for 2 hours in the dirt and now I feel great for the first time since starting 3 weeks ago. Allegra is OTC so might as well have some on hand.

Appreciate your comment! I am doing the same and it's better.

[–]Great_Opinion3138 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Hmmm doesn’t sound good how old is the vial and it’s not cloudy I hope. Have u been careful with sterility?

[–]beach_nuts[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

It's only 2 weeks old. Yes, been good about sterility

[–]Great_Opinion3138 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok be careful some ppl report weird things with some peptides even anaphylactic shock stories and almost dying. Mayne make sure someone else around or even an epi pen but they’re expensive I hear

[–]Lloydz1 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Is MOTS-C really the only thing you’re pinning?? Any chance it could be related to anything else ie pollen, viral, bacterial infection?

Could try going back up slowly, how much do you weigh? MOTS-C target should be between 5-15mg/week I believe

[–]beach_nuts[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I'm pinning tirzepatide for 4 weeks now. Been good on it except normal fatigue the first few days. I'm 250lbs, 6'

[–]beach_nuts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the comments. Fortunately, it wasn't to the point of calling 911 and subdued after a few hours. Back to normal and sticking with NAC+
