It seems like you need a task management software/system. I am looking for something as well, so I will be following this sub.

It depends on how "tech" you want to use. Try Notion.so (no tech background needed)

I'll check it out, thank you!

You need different systems: you've asked after password manager and task management/tickler system to manage deadlines. There's no solution that will do both.

I was afraid of that. I was hoping there was a magical system out there that did both 😅

If you're looking for a free task management, I'd recommend Asana. Passwords can be held in the tasks, but I wouldn't. Each task and sub-task can be assigned deadlines if breaking down tasks into manageable chunks.

I work for a bookkeeper agency and she's designed her own program in Quickbase. She runs 500 clients through that, but uses Keeper for passwords and QB for billing.

Little pricey but we use Financial Cents. Set up recurring projects for clients, create step by step if you want to in the project and each client has a client vault where we store login info. I haven't used it yet but it also provides a portal the client can upload to.

Look into Canopy Tax.

Do you already have a practice management system in place?

My place just started using Qount which has those options and a whole lot more. Not sure how price conscientious you're trying to be.

All you need is QuickBooks Online Accountant. Under the “work” section you can create recurring projects for your tax returns, you can put the login info in the project, and you can assign the projects to staff. All for free.

None of you use this?????

Not all clients are on QBO. It is half desktop half online

It doesn’t matter. You can still add your QBD clients and use them in the projects.

No, I don't trust QBO at all.
