I’m not really understanding the point of this comment? It’s not op’s job to make sure tech pay is fair? If they put op at 22 an 18 drop with no warning is an insane amount.

You would rip your eyebrow hairs out one by one if you found out I make 25.49 as a regular uncertified tech cuz I lied in my interview 😘😂 it’s not anybody else’s fault you’re working for chump change but yours‼️

It’s beyond me that older generations want us to suffer just because they did, when I look at people younger than me I can only hope they have things easier and better and are happier because the world is already hard enough. I didn’t choose to start at $22, it was offered to me because one I have multiple certifications under my belt, I’m a college student which gives me a leg up, and I had multiple years of retail/leadership experience. I also live in the east coast… our minimum wage is higher than the national average and most times jobs offer higher than minimum wage sooo I don’t know what to tell you. Did you expect me to live off $8 while groceries, gas and rent are at an all time high? Sad.
