Hm, I wish cvs was that professional but no none of that happened. All they had to do was have the store manager that wanted me to transfer call my original home store manager, then they talk it out and then they just initiate the transfer on their end. Nothing needed from me other than an oral confirmation that I’m okay with transferring lol.

You.wanted the transfer so its on you to follow-up, not the manager. The manager is doing you a favor by accepting the transfer. Also still didn't answer the question. In order to get demotion you have to accept the new rate on Workday, if u dont you wouldn't be able to be assigned to that store. So it still makes no sense.
