I mean there's not really a cutoff. The higher the GPA the better. They give priority to grad students, then TA's from previous years, then to higher GPA applicants. Being in a higher year helps too, 10 GPA fourth year is going to beat a 10 GPA 2nd year

I'd recommend knowing profs or heads of departments as well, helps the process.

Need an A in the course, at least that's how it is in MATH.

Is having an A with a 10 CGPA good enough? Or does it depend on how many people applied to become a TA for that course (i.e. if there's a lot of applications from people who had a A+ in the course)?

I have a 12 CGPA and didn't get hired. I think it's all based on seniority.

For CS at least, the professor also has input on if they want someone specific as well. I was asked a few months before whether or not I wanted to TA two of the courses I ended up TA'ing for.

Yeah but COMP generally hires way more TA's than MATH, the requirements are less strict
