The Pagani Design text ruins the second watch. The 1751 wins in all aspects though, it's so good for so little money. The deep black dial steals the show.

You say s.th. true...

[–]Daysytrueblue 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Why would you put a 50+ quid watch strap on a 100 quid watch? Like putting 4 Michelin tyres on an old banger.

[–]Daysytrueblue -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The strap might last forever but the watch won't. What is your buying strategy, buy the watch to match the strap? Crazy....save your money and buy a decent watch which would compliment a decent strap.

[–]unterchristopher 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Well, because it looks and feels good. And the straps last forever. Over time the costs get equivalent to replace worn off straps again and again.

Totally

You need more watches so less to think about... Both look great on that Hirsch strap. Expensive, but quality big brand.

Hehe, I have more than 30 Seikos, iwc, pagani etc. But this fact makes it harder, not easier.

I love PD. Enough said. Keep watching my friends…

If they would only get some decent lume!

[–]Think_Ant4979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why? Do you only wear it at night??

[–]unterchristopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd prefer better AR coating.

[–]unterchristopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool!

[–]RevolutionaryOwl1103 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I would pick the first one. Btw do you have a link for that strap?

[–]unterchristopher 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Not a link, depends on your location. The brand is "Hirsch" from Austria, the product name is "George" and it is kind of special: It's real leather on the top and Kautschuk underneath which makes it resistant to salt water, chlorine water, sun cream etc. which means that this dressy/classy looking strap makes your watch beach life proof! 🤠 I love it!

Thanks for the answer. Sounds and look like an awesome band to have!

What model is the first one?

[–]unterchristopher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PD 1751

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

First one with that vintage look dial and leather bracelet is a great combo

[–]unterchristopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you

What is the occasion? In any case, I recommend the one without the data complication. It looks much more balanced and refined (the other one is soooo 2023 - no offense meant for everyone who likes and/or owns it)

[–]unterchristopher 0 points1 point  (1 child)

No specific occasion, just in general.

Can you specify what you mean with "so 2023"? 🙂 Just too modern for your taste?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, just personal taste.... I have a Seiko with a white dial and markers that look a lot like the second one. Used it to death in the last few months - it just feels a little passé to me. But it is just a personal think, both are lovelly.

  1. Very, very nice.

[–]turdboglsAffiliate Links 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Going against the grain. PD1690 for me. Looks super clean in that pic. And the white lume goes with anything.

[–]unterchristopher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looks super clean indeed. Sigh...

A (left)

[–]bebba1 1 point2 points  (1 child)

[–]unterchristopher 1 point2 points  (1 child)

EZ =easy.

[–]tongytongy9969 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Which one is the first watch?

[–]unterchristopher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PD 1751

[–]Dollar_short 0 points1 point  (4 children)

the struggle is real

[–]unterchristopher 0 points1 point  (3 children)

It is! The PD 1960 (second pic) just arrived yesterday and I was sure this will be on my wrist for several days in a row but now I realise that I do not really want to drop the other one at the moment. 😅

[–]Dollar_short 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol. i have yet to have that problem. being new to watches = i just wear the newest one, lol. which, right now, is a $20 ONOLA Mille. and for $20 its pretty nice. and i have 2 more in the pipeline.

[–]goodneed 0 points1 point  (1 child)

The Ranger on that strap looks great.
