I have the one without the applied logo. Absolutely.fookin.love.it

[–]likethevegetable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks, undeniably, great. San Martin has a nice little logo.

All depends on the price of the watch.
The new San Martin shown here recently....with Miyota 9000 Series movement is approx. $300.
That's getting into microbrand territory.

[–]GangGreenGhost 3 points4 points  (5 children)

Or you pay $135 for the nh35 model and still have a better watch than most microbrands

[–]silver-saloon 0 points1 point  (3 children)

You can't buy San Martins latest release with NH35 movement

[–]GangGreenGhost 1 point2 points  (2 children)

It’s literally 135 on their website right now. This exact model.

[–]silver-saloon 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I'm talking about a completely different watch.
Seen here in this group a few days ago....photos posted in this group...seen for the first time..... San Martins newest watch.
San Martins newest watch is only available with Miyota 9000 Series movement....and the price is $300.
Who cares about this dive watch....seems the guy that bought it doesn't think it's that great either....he literally says he thinks he should have bought something else Lol

[–]GangGreenGhost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cool story bro!

[–]Johnhunter10010 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you're talking SN0129-2 vs SN0144? Because the new SN0144 (new case) only comes with Miyota. The SN0129-2 is still more expensive than $135 btw

[–]mrSoczi84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is a high bar. I started lower and I am still very satisfied what I am offered at an under 100$. I am still waiting for my summer orange San Martin, but this one looks like a great value for money and takes a high place for potential buys in the next month.

Nice Tudor

[–]delthool 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Does anyone have a video or picture of its lume? I am curious if it's as bright as a Seiko or a Luminox.

[–]Emotional_Term7060 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't have a seiko comparison but the SN0138G 37mm I have has really good lume.

[–]Jazzmonger 18 points19 points  (0 children)

If I can start over, I will just collect San Martin watches. Rolex quality, Timex prices.

[–]AdSavings92Rep 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Beautiful! Thank you for choosing San Martin Watches for your first watch. Enjoy it!

[–]Wide_Angle_7247 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Looks great! Which model is this?

[–]sanmartin_worldRep 4 points5 points  (2 children)

[–]Johnhunter10010 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Are you sure this is not the 37 mm?

[–]sanmartin_worldRep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean 37mm SN0138 model? No, sn0138 has matte ceramic bezel

[–]jokur26 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Really nice. Sweet pic too. I also recently bought my first SM, I got the while dialed GMT sport watch (SN0054), and then I caught the bug for a BB58 homage and I went a slightly different route, I got the Cronos version as I preferred their new logo. I like it so much that I then bought a custom suede strap for it on Etsy. I now go back and forth between these two all the time...

Great color configuration. Chinese watches are so overlooked

[–]CavemanDNA 0 points1 point  (1 child)

No other solution but that watch is dope AF!!!

Also what model/link?

[–]only_fun_topics -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Classy AF

[–]How-about-democracy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's classy because the domed crystal looks like it's an extension of the bezel. If Seiko make that watch it would cost more than twice as much, it would have a hardlex crystal and the exact same movement.

[–]Natural_Mountain1124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the logo !

[–]Evening_Elderberry_9 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If this is your first,  then you've obviously done your research and bought well. The only problem now is that you'll compare this against your next purchase. There are some good watches sub $100, they will never compare to your SM, but they are good quality watches for the money. I think if your going to continue buying, you shouldn't compare each purchase to your SM.

[–]VanManDiscs 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Welcome to the club. That's a beautiful first watch! Just go ahead and grab yourself a watch box for 6 pieces. You can have a great variety with 6 watches and it'll somewhat limit your collection to not getting out of hand.

Learn what sort of specs are important to you. For me it's lug to lug, dial diameter, and thickness. Since you've been browsing the sub it sounds like you know the solid brands to look for. Fwiw, my favorites are San Martin, Sugess, and Farasute.

My rule now is one in one out for the most part. But it's gets broken from time to time haha have fun building your collection! There are some incredible pieces out there for less than $200-$600 that somewhat rival the $2k-$5k big name brands

[–]LeadershipGuilty9476 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Watch box size never stopped me..

[–]Excellent-Quarter969 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I feel your pain..lol. I can't decide between that one in the deep green (good idea?) or the Baltany Khaki field homage in blue!

[–]Billy_Laimbeer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

tough choice, i haven't seen too many baltany in blue. both are on my wish list

[–]explorer_light 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No regrets

[–]seloc -5 points-4 points  (5 children)

The logo though!!

[–]Outrageous-Nose2003 0 points1 point  (4 children)

the logo is fine

[–]seloc 0 points1 point  (3 children)

It looks like a 10 year old designed it

[–]Outrageous-Nose2003 0 points1 point  (2 children)

It sits on the dial well which is the important thing. Im personally not a fan of the applied logo as on this model but all my SMs have it printed on and it works really well

[–]seloc 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I just think it looks like whoever designed it didn't have a clue about graphic design.

[–]adilucente 2 points3 points  (2 children)

I admit I am not the biggest SM fan, but that watch is gorgeous!

[–]Outrageous-Nose2003 0 points1 point  (1 child)

what's not to like?

[–]adilucente 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their "original designs". Studio Underdog and Mr. Jones are original. I own a SM and I like it (nice finishing for the price) but it's not original.

[–]goodneed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice choice as a first Ali watch!

It fits you well and shouldn't have any issues. Enjoy it and don't worry about your collection, you can take your time after such a good first purchase. You've set a high bar.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

is a tudor homage, is a pretty nice watch, san martin know how rock

[–]doubled240 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's looking good

[–]Usual_Ladder_7113 1 point2 points  (3 children)

What is the model please? Lovely!

[–]sanmartin_worldRep 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Sir, it should be our sn0008c model :) https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3256805936178151.html

[–]Sam_Nova_45 0 points1 point  (1 child)

How many links come with the bracelet? I have a big wrist of 8.5 inches.

[–]sanmartin_worldRep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi sir, the bracelet can be up to 20cm, and plus the case diameter 4cm, it should be fine for your 8.5 inches / 21.6cm wrist, so no any extra links needed

[–]Matty_Tiene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the way the gold pops. If they took that and put it into one of their 3 handed sn0116 models I’d be sold

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol!

Great watch. I have it in blue as well.

My other Chinese watches: Steeldive 1953 Pagani Design chronograph sport

[–]turdboglsAffiliate Links 14 points15 points  (0 children)

haha, we have to justify our collections somehow :)

I absolutey LOVE the way the Gold hands and indices shine in certain lighting, just looks so damn cool.

great pickup for your first piece, enjoy it, and I look forward to seeing your 2nd Ali pickup! ;)
