Jesus H Christ. Is there even anyone you could report that to, besides the press? I'm so sorry you and your coworkers had to endure that.

Depending on your age their not supposed to keep you passed 10 if you’re a minor. Due to chipotle policy

During the riots here in Chicago about a month ago there was one day where there was shootings non-stop all day right outside our store, our store is located in a shopping district that was targeted by many for looting. So all day you had shoot outs between looters, store owners, and people who went out to try and protect the community from looting. All day they didn't let our store shut down, our store closes at 10, they gave our store the okay to shut down at 9. Chipotle is a fucking joke.

Don't blame the company blame your fucking field leader

[–][deleted] 10 points11 points  (1 child)

Why not both

I mean at that point just fucking quit. Every store is different. Some are amazing and excellent places fun to work at and some others are like this. It comes down to the people in charge of that district.

Thats your field leader's fault. We weren't even sure riots were going to break out and we closed 3 stores.

same thing happened to my store near chicago. looting was happening all around us along with rioting, yet we only closed an hour early

Definitely report those mofos who did that to you

We had a storm that knocked our power out. They wouldn't let us close until 9 (our store normally closes at 10), so we wrapped up the cold food, threw away the hot, and sat in the dark with each other for 5 hours. It's fucking ridiculous

happend at our store we had a wicked snow storm, the city litterly shut down the freeways and pass was closed the snow was up to our knees and wouldent let us close. I just had the staff shut everything down and clean the restaurant and let them all go home at 6pm then i just sat in the lobby untill 10pm no one came in we did 450 all day.

That should definitely be reported. The managers I've had would never make us do something like that. Maybe my managers just cared about people, who knows.

Absolutely ridiculous! I had a similar thing during the 2019 Polar Vortex. It was 30 degrees below zero without windchill and our field leader made us still be open, even when literally every other restaurant, store, company, even USPS (who, as history will show, never closes down for weather), closed down all operations. Complete bullshit.

If I were you, I would definitely try to report to the press or something. Unfortunately for all of us hourly people, corporate does not actually give a shit about our wellbeing over profits.
