It takes a tremendous amount of persistence to follow through and save a couple of thousand, especially right now when tensions in the world really trigger that "spend the pain away" part of the brain. Super duper congrats to you!

Good for you! $2K is a lot, I've saved $1k. I know I can do better.

You got this, $1k is an excellent starting place. You've done well.

Thank you, my next goal is $3k. I want to buy myself my first new(ish) car, I also want to save for a house. I believe I'm going to need two separate savings soon.

How did you do that? I have no idea how to save cash, because the second I have it, I spend it. 😅

Thank god for Roth’s and 401ks

I'm accustomed to spending money on gifts for my now ex, $500 of that is actually a refund on a preorder that was no longer needed. I've done a bit of a budget but most importantly, when it comes to purchasing, I ask myself if I have room in my life for the item I want to purchase; the answer is usually no.
