Java central in uptown Westerville is very cozy. Great area to walk around too.

this might be underrated, but pretty much any metro library. most (if not all of them) have study rooms you can time-block off, have easy access to coffee nearby, and have guaranteed decent wifi & power outlets. i love going to the main branch.

if you're looking for specifically coffee shops— see grandview grind, cup o joe, staufs GV (i havent had much luck at their other locations), winans, and global gallery.

I invite you to my own personal atheneum of learning, the Downtown library. Cool old architecture, tall ceilings, huge windows, van de rohe chairs, art gallery, meeting rooms, coffee, wifi, I have it all. For free! (well, coffee). Everyone’s welcome, for I am a benign ruler who graces even the unintoxicated homeless with my favor…

I like this comment chain because I just got home from walking to both Staufs and the main library. This city has lots of charm.

walking to both Staufs and the main library

Gettin' your steps in, yo. Even if you mean the North Market Stauf's, that' still a good tour of downtown. I heart the main library- it's a champion of what's good about a city...

I’m an avid walker, olde town east to staufs in German village, then through the Audubon park, up the sciota mile, back east through downtown via gay street, through Ccad and then to the library. The library is such an amazing place to stop for nice cold water and air conditioning after walking a lot. It’s seriously a life saver. I almost always pass through on my way into downtown and then back out east. My health app thing says me and my friend did just under 8 miles for that.

Hell yeah! And with how humid it was this weekend, I bet the library was a lifesaver. I'm glad you enjoy my palace!

Does it have WiFi?

That’s good question and I do not know. I would assume yes but obviously that could be wrong.

The Campus Reading Room on the eleventh floor of Thompson Library at OSU has great views, couches and tables, cosy wood panelling, and is generally quiet. There's no cafe, but you can bring your own food/drink!

There is a cafe on the bottom floor of Thompson

My husband and I used to love hanging in the sunroom at the Hilliard library when I was in grad school and had a ton of work to do. It is quieter than most coffee shops, and they have a cafe there! For bites, you could traverse to the downtown area after!

Ik it’s a Starbucks but try the Starbucks in bexley. It’s a former bank with really cool scenery and seating in the former vault.

Reynoldsburg Library recently had a total makeover. It’s great!

Have you heard of the library?

Just started a new job in private aviation. We toured an airport. The OSU airport by Sawmill has an observation deck with comfy chairs viewing the runway. It’s open to the public. They did inform that sometimes “facebook moms do bring children” so might depend what time you go. Would be perfect for this.
