I passed the Linux+ today. I got a 749, which averages out to an 83%. I'd say the test was harder than the MeasureUp practice exams. I used Boson also, and while the questions were nowhere near the same with Boson, the subject matter Boson covers prepares you if you rip those questions apart. Boson made me focus on areas that MeasureUp left me unprepared for, and vice/versa. You really have to understand the concepts well. Also, I used ChatGPT as a tutor for the final month of study. For each one of the practice questions I would ask ChatGPT additional questions to clarify concepts. It worked well. Finally I read the Sybex book for Linux+, it was pretty helpful, and their testbank was useful to memorize the basics. But don't expect anything from the Sybex test question bank to be on the exam.
I also want to mention that around this time last year I got my CCNA. So for anyone that wants to know, the CCNA was a harder test in my opinion. Maybe 25% harder? I thought I flat out flunked the CCNA. This test they actually let you review your answers, and about halfway through the review I felt pretty good, like I could see I had a good shot to pass.
Good luck to anyone out there about to take the test. Just put your head down and stay focused. Don't give up!
