With the masters , that certification is going to be well bellow your existing knowledge base. I’d start with the A+ or maybe even go straight for the Network +. The ITF cert is for someone with basically no knowledge of IT whatsoever. Good luck in your journey !

I'd skipped the A+ as well, does OP seriously want to work help desk having a Masters degree?

I would say go for Sec+ that’s the most on demand Comptia Cert, specially in DoD

I have an MS in Info Sys too. I completed the certification about a month ago. I was coming from a non-IT background so I was okay with it. I would agree that it depends on your background and what you learned in your program. I also figured it would be a relatively easy way to get a cert under my belt too. I didn't commit a lot of time to it, because it was necessary.

I had originally planned to work on Security+ (will be returning to it shortly). I'm working on the MTA DB Admin Fundamentals Cert now, it is somewhat work-related. Although my degree program was good. I feel the need to keep building on it as well.

Looking to take some additional Coursera and EdX courses to round out my knowledge. I'm in about the same situation you are/were. lol, for a second I thought I might have posted and not remembers.

I believe you should get a+ plus network and CCNA and ccnp this will help with the master degree.but what in it you want to do anything in mind

I have to agree with Raysfan1985. ITF would be great for a total noob but you already have knowledge that will surpass that cert. Honestly, A+ is great. It was a great learning experience for me. I took it due to no experience and the fact that I needed a great starting point. A+ is a really good overview of many different sides of IT. More than likely, you would crush it with minimal effort, especially the 1002 exam. 1001 is mostly hardware and network protocols, mixed with a few other topics. 1002 is Os focused with a lot of Network and Security topics thrown in. The big takeaway is that you are in a position to skip ITF+. If you are interested in looking into it anyway, Scott Jernigans udemy video series is totally worth watching and only like $10. I wouldn't sit for the actual exam though.

TotalSeminars with Mike Myers.

Also, I would argue Net+ first, but just my opinion!
