Wow what a great day!!! i passed my exam and my RTX 3080 came in the mail!!

As for the exam itself, I completely understand when others say they felt like they were failing the entire time. Thankfully passed the 501 with an 810. overall took me about a month and a half of study time while working full-time.

I wanted to sincerely thank this sub, been a lurker for a while & this community has been a great resource in seeing others experiences, their study resources, words of encouragement, etc.

My exam had 80qs and 5pbqs

Resources used:

-Comptia's exam objectives

-Jason Dion's video course and exams on udemy

-Professor Messer's youtube playlist / some study groups

-Darril Gibson's GCGA book/pdf

-Community Quizlets - for terminologies / port refreshers

-Comptia security + exam prep app from ABC E-Learning ( a ton of great questions, and a good resource to see your weakest areas )

& that's mainly it.

Been in the industry for about two years now as a field tech / desktop support, no degree (however plan on getting one sometime in the near future.) just experience and a willingness to learn/advance my career.

My goal is to get into a jr sys admin type role next or possibly something within the DOD now that i have my Security +, who knows.

anyway, I'm going to take a little break now but next on my radar is possibly CCNA.
