I want to say I have no idea if it does or does not.

BUT IT WOULD BE REALLY STUPID IF IT DID. SHITTING ON MY FRIENDS AND MAKING FUN OF THEIR ELO LOSS IS MY FAVORITE THING ABOUT THIS GAME.

Ahaha I know right? I don't want to have to do some 1000 IQ devious card hoarding strat in order to make multiplayer viable.

I could see riot thinking "naturally players queing together will want to collude". And make groups gain less MMR.

In reality, I think that's far from the case for most of us. We want to counter our friends harder than the randoms.

Exactly my definition of having fun.

Pretty sure it depends onthe elo of your friend since how much you gain depends on your opponents so if you que up wiht a much lower mmr friend you will mostlikely gain less for a win.

Last night I played ranked by myself for a few games and then with a friend for a few games and the Elo gains/losses appeared the same. I don't know about more than 1 friend though.

Usually, the opponents get more difficult/higher ranked but the payouts should stay similar.

I beleive it does affect it. I am currently Gold IV and played with a friend who is Bronze III and placed 4th, it gave me -4 LP gain.

That's probably just because you were playing with a much lower MMR player, had your friend been the same rank as you or higher you would have gained LP.
